2018 Routines

Camp Dance/Pep Rally Routines: Camp Dance – “Celebrate” by: Pitbull – Time: 1:38 – Celebrate 60 years of American Dance and Drill team with this year’s fun and upbeat camp dance! Featuring a 10-8 count repeat section, stylized intro, and lots of opportunity to show off sass and personality! Dancers will showcase their finest technique in kick, turn, and leap options to suit every level. We can’t wait to see personality and a high energy performance from your dancers as they help us celebrate our big anniversary summer! Miss High Kick – “Fashionista” – Time: 0:44 Pep Rally Pom – “Janet Jackson Mix” by: Janet Jackson – Time: 1:16 – This is a show-stopper! Your team will love to do this visual and impressive pep rally routine. There is difficult aspects but also modifications included for all. Your team and crowd will enjoy this upbeat fun music! Choreography includes technical skills such as a turning disc, fouette turns, fast pom motions, and a toe touch. Pep Rally Hip Hop – “Walk it Out Mix” by: Various Artists – Time: 1:21 – This is a fun, catchy dance that everyone is going to want to get up and join the fun! This routine has some difficulty but allows you to put plenty of your own style and groove into it. This will be a school favorite for pep rallies and is sure to pump up the crowd for your upcoming events! Pep Rally Pom – “All Night ( Remix)” – by: Icona Pop – Time: 1:05 – This visual pom routine will have the crowd wanting more. From all the parts to the amazing leaps and turns, this is what the crowd wants to see. Your team will have an amazing time learning this pom routine with all the advanced technique, but with many options to fit everyone. Everyone will want to be in this routine. Pep Rally Jazz – “Feel it Still” – by: Portugal. The Man – Time: 1:03 – This fast paced jazz routine has technique and a whole lot of sass. The routine will challenge the team and they will have so much fun learning it. With lots of parts, tricks, and turns, the crowd will be amazed. This routine will have the crowd wanting more and waiting till the next pep rally. Pep Rally Jazz – “Rolling in the Deep” by: Adele (Remix) – Time: 1:36 – “Rolling in the Deep” pep rally jazz is an upbeat intermediate to advanced jazz dance that offers a variety of dance technique options and/or modifications. The dance technique offered in this pep rally jazz include, chainé turns, pique turns, single and double pirouettes, both directional and stationary jeté leaps, battements, turns in second, along with a turning second leap. Pep Rally Hip Hop – “Dum Dum” by Tedashii (feat. Lecrae) – Time 1:33 – This hip hop is perfect for any pep rally and will definitely pump up the crowd! Full of inspiration from current popular dances intertwined with positive messages, this is a routine you can feel confident about putting out on the floor. This dance includes a modifiable headspring, so it is can be suited to any skill level.

Jazz ~ Staff Captain: Kelly Norman, Asst: Heather Johansen Int Field Jazz – “Born this Way” by: Jay Dawson (Arrangers Pub.) – Time: 1:09 (Pop Version Available) – Are you ready to take the football field with a fun and high energy field jazz? This intermediate field jazz will be sure to get the crowd on their feet! The technique in this routine includes jeté leaps, pirouettes with single and double options, and battements kicks. It exhilarates the audience with a combination of an upbeat popular band arrangement and dynamic choreography. Your intermediate dancers will enjoy performing this fun jazz routine on or off the field!

Int/Adv Field Streamer Jazz – “Walking on Sunshine” by: Tom Wallace (Arrangers Pub.) – Time: 1:37 (Pop Version Available) – This is an intermediate to advanced streamer jazz field routine. It is composed of a double turn, grande jete, tilt kick, and double tuck jump. The movements of this dance are of medium pace. The music is fun, entertaining, and familiar by all. Int Jazz – “Sweet Lovin” by: Sigala – Time: 1:47 – This is an fun and high energy jazz routine that is great for a pep-rally, basketball game, or Spring Show performance. The dance includes a double pirouette, jete, splits, and a leap in second that can be easily modified to a single pirouette, x jump, and passé jump. This piece also has lots of visual parts, level changes and floor work. Your dancers will love the music and be challenged with the upbeat and fast paced tempo. Adv Jazz – “Runaway” by: – Time: 1:15 – This routine is one that your entire team is sure to love! “Runaway” is a uniquely styled and advanced technique routine that will challenge your dancers, but comes with modifications fit for any level. This advanced jazz option is extremely visual with many moving parts and high energy! This can be used to entertain a crowd anytime of the year. Int/Adv Stylized Jazz – “No Roots” by: Alice Merton – Time: 1:52 – This jazz routine is stylized, quirky, and involves advanced skills. It is packed with pirouettes, jetes, levels, parts, and tons of unique energy. This intermediate to advanced routine will challenge your team, but can also be fit to any team’s level. Your team will love learning this jazz piece and have even more fun performing it to a crowd at a pep rally!

Hip Hop ~ Staff Captain: Tasha Franklin Int Hip Hop – “Fly Mash-Up” by: Michael Constantino – Time: 1:32 – This mash-up includes some of your favorite hip hop songs over the past 10 years that everyone will love! The choreography incorporates lots of visual parts, levels, and fun movements but is not too fast and very easy to clean. This routine would be perfect for pep rallies, basketball games, or special performances! Int/Adv HH – “Boss” by: Various Artists – Time: 1:20 – This intermediate/advanced hip-hop is a fun, energetic, and clean routine with a Los Angeles feel to it. The piece has a spotlight moment for the more outgoing dancers that allows for interaction with the audience. It is also visually pleasing to the eye when watching with many sections and opposing choreography. Not only will the dancers enjoy performing this piece, but the audience will enjoy the performance as well. Adv Hip Hop – “Reggae Mix” by: Sean Paul – Time: 1:41 – If you love Sean Paul, this routine is for you! It has songs from the past that will get any audience on their feet! This dance will challenge your dancers from the numerous parts, levels, and tempo changes in the choreography. Your dancers will love learning and polishing this routine and it will be a perfect fit for any performance!

Pom ~ Staff Captain: Abby Glantz, Asst: Rachel Dodson Int Field Pom – “Johnny B. Goode” by: Tom Wallace (Arrangers Pub.) – Time: 1:04 (Pop Version Available) – This upbeat, exciting pom will be a crowd favorite for sure! This routine features lots of dynamic parts, level changes, and opposition. Technical elements in this routine include a leap, stationary leap, a pirouette, and a kick. Your team will love performing this on the field! Int/Adv Field Pom – “I Got You” by: Tom Wallace (Arrangers Pub.) – Time- 1:27 (Pop Version Available) – This pom routine to the classic hit will make anyone feel good! This intermediate field pom is filled with lots of sassy moves, quick arm movements and visual choreography. This is an easy to clean routine that includes jeté leaps, tilts, pirouettes with options for all levels, and floor kicks. “I Feel Good” pom will make the crowd want to get up, dance, and sing along! Int Pom – “La Bamba Remix” by: Safri Duo – Time: 1:34 – A fun routine to a song that everyone knows will have both your team and the crowd ready to dance! A true intermediate level routine with visual parts and levels will be easy to clean and great for any performance venue.

Int/Adv Pom – “Knock On Wood” by: Power Music Workout – Time 1:41 – This is a high energy routine to a classic hit sure to get the crowd pumped up and dancing along! Showcase your team’s outstanding pom technique and have fun performing the sassy sections! This routine includes parts, levels, opposition, and fantastic visuals! “Knock on Wood” will get the party started! Adv Pom – “Problem” by: Arianna Grande (Remix) – Time: 1:32 – Show off your team’s technique and performance ability with this fun and sassy advanced pom routine. This high-energy routine will definitely challenge your team and be the perfect routine to wow the crowd. Technique elements include turning discs, surprise leaps, and a variety of turns, but can also be easily modified to fit your team’s level.

Prop ~ Staff Captain: Tracy Melendez Int Field Hoop – “We Got the Beat” by: Tom Wallace (Arrangers Pub.) – Time: 1:18 (Pop Version Available) – This colorful, dynamic large hoop routine will excite and delight your audience. Lots of visual variety, fun formations and dazzling carousels will leave your fans wanting more. Perfect for teams of all levels, this routine includes a grande jete, a double pirouette and quick footwork. This routine will give your team a flashy halftime hit! Int Field Skirt – “Jump in the Line” by: Jeff Simmons (Arrangers Pub.) – Time: 1:33 (Pop Version Available) – This sassy and spunky skirt routine will make everyone in the audience want to get up and dance along. It is a intermediate level routine with many arm movements in order to showcase the skirt. This routine will include parts, oppositions, levels, and minimal footwork. Fun formations and sassy dance moves will make this a halftime favorite!

Kick ~ Staff Captain: Keilin Jeter Int Field Kick – “Lips are Movin” by: Victor Lopez (Alfred Music Pub.) – Time: 1:49 (Pop Version Available) – This fun, energetic field kick routine will keep the audience in their seats. It includes showy contagions, crowd-pleasing kick sequences, and an upbeat jazz section with a surprise leap, and a stationary. It’s the perfect combination of an upbeat popular band arrangement and sassy choreography. In addition, this routine can also be adapted for a pep rally using the the pop version of the song. Int/Adv Field Kick – “Fireball” by: Tom Wallace (Arrangers Pub.) – Time: 1:24 (Pop Version Available) – Get the crowd clapping along with this audience favorite! This kick routine features opposition, parts, footwork, and a drop split. Technique includes intermediate elements like pirouettes and a press leap, but also showcases advanced technique such as a spinning disc and a calypso. This routine is a sure-fire hit! Int/Adv Kick – “Crash & Burn” by: Basshunter – Time: 1:26 – Crash and Burn is an upbeat kick routine choreographed for intermediate to advanced dancers. The technique in the piece includes a choice of double or triple turns, chaine, pique and attitude turns, a grand jete, a tilt jump as well as patterns within the footwork and kick sequences.

Military ~ Staff Captain: Rachel Dodson Int Field Military – “Single Ladies” by: Jerry Burns (Arrangers Publishing) – Time: 1:25 (Pop Version Available) – This routine is full of parts, levels, and other visual effects. A jeté and a kick are included but can be quickly modified for more or less advanced technical abilities. You could easily add poms and dance to the pop version to make this a versatile routine for the field or a pep rally! Int/Adv Field Military – “Make Your Hands Clap” by: Paul Murtha (Hal Leonard Pub.) – Time: 1:38 (Pop Version Available) – This strong, field military routine will get your audience rocking. Quick, sharp arm work, challenging section work, smooth transitions, visual level changes, two different leaps, a mini flip stunt and a sensational split stunt will leave your fans clapping for more!

Novelty ~ Staff Captain: Brittany Claypool Int Novelty – “Throwback Love” by: Meghan Trainor – Time: 1:13 – This fun and sassy novelty routine will have your crowd dancing along with you! This routine offers polish-ready choreography, sassy movements, and technique for all dancers! Routine elements include a single or double pirouette, press leap, tilt kick, parts, and opposition choreography! This is a perfect routine for any performance opportunity. Adv Novelty – “Car Wash” by: Rose Royce – Time: 1:33 – Full of parts and advanced technique to keep your audience engaged, “Car Wash” is sure to be a crowd pleaser! Not only will your dancers be challenged with this novelty, but they will have fun learning the various parts and technique aspects this routine offers. Your team will love dancing to this funky remix at any performance! Int/Adv Character Jazz – “Tribe” by: Kim Viera – Time: 1:31 – “Tribe” is a fun, upbeat song with lots of room for your girls to express their sassiness! The routine itself includes tons of visuals, syncopated rhythms, group work, and a variety of technique options to suit the level of your team or allow you to highlight an advanced dancer/group. The song is all about dancing with your “tribe” and is sure to be a crowd-pleaser at any event!

Lyrical/Modern/Contemporary ~ Staff Captain: Miriam Vera, Asst: Claudia Vera Int/Adv Lyrical – “Dead in the Water” by: Ellie Goulding – Time: 1:36 – This intermediate/advanced piece combines strong and visual movements with advanced technical skills into one piece. “Dead in the Water” will challenge your dancers with slow and controlled movement, and dramatic level changes. This routine will showcase your team’s passion and intensity, as well as their ability to conquer difficult tricks. This lyrical piece may be used for competition or be easily manipulated into small groups for your spring show stage. Int/Adv Modern – “Breathe Me” by: Jasmine Thompson – Time: 1:46 – “Breathe Me” will captivate your students with the wonderful vocals and dance movements. This modern piece will challenge your intermediate dancers by learning about body initiation, suspension, spirals, inversions, continuous movement and performance quality. The lyrics will allow your dancers to connect emotionally while reflecting on moments in life when they have felt broken. “Breathe Me” is a breath-taking routine that will be perfect for any specials events, competitions, and even spring show ensembles! Int Contemporary – “Remind Me to Forget” by: Kyo & Miguel – Time: 1:34 – “Remind Me to Forget” is a light and fun Contemporary piece that will leave your dancers with a sense of release. It is an upbeat dance that will push your dancers out of their comfort zone in a positive way. A few dance elements include a double or single pirouette, a grand jete, quick weight shifts, constant level changes, and visuals. It can be easily modified to advanced skills, but it will definitely help your dancers as contemporary dancers. Adv Contemporary – “Next to You” by: Of Rust & Bone – Time: 1:46 – ”Next to you” is a beautiful Advanced Contemporary piece that incorporates Modern and Ballet technique. The virtuosic technique, dynamic movements, and athleticism in the choreography will challenge your dancers while using their whole bodies to portray the emotional storyline of the piece. Although difficult in movement, this piece will provide an outlet for your dancers and an opportunity for growth throughout the year!
