62X Air-Cooled DOAS Units Liquid Subcooling Reheat (LSRH) Carrier offers a liquid subcooling reheat (LSRH) option on all 62X dedicated outdoor air units. The liquid subcooling package boosts a unit’s dehumidification capacity to help deliver drier air to the space. AUDITORIUMS Because LSRH does not add to the unit footprint, it is an extremely cost effective way to enhance unit performance. In some cases, LSRH allows you to downsize your unit selection, decreasing unit size and electrical requirements while increasing cost savings. How Liquid Subcooling THREE-WAY THREE-WAY Reheat (LSRH) Works VALVE CONDENSER VALVE LSRH works by passing warm liquid refrigerant that is leaving CHECK the condenser to a full faced coil VALVE following the evaporator coil. Not only does the subcooling process SA help to reheat the supply air, it also HOT GAS reduces the temperature of the REHEAT COIL refrigerant entering the evaporator coil. The 62X unit dehumidification capacity will increase by as much LIQUID SUBCOOLING COMPRESSOR REHEAT COIL as 10% with LSRH, which can help to reduce the mechanical direct CHECK VALVE expansion (DX) capacity and improve unit efficiency. EVAPORATOR The LSRH is accompanied by a hot gas reheat (HGRH) coil to ensure OA that the supply air is reheated to space neutral conditions.
