Editorial, television, film alike, Simone’s passion and dedication is relentless. She is an artist with an affinity to product; suffice to say she loves her work. Simone’s passion for makeup began at a young age in Cologne, Germany. Her mother had to hide products to prevent her from “painting” everyone who walked through the door. This desire culminated at cosmetology school in Europe where Simone honed her skills before taking an ambitious leap west. At the age of 20, Simone moved to Hollywood to pursue her dream of becoming a professional. She enrolled at the Joe Blasco Beauty and Special Effects Academy to continue her education. Upon completion she began booking work from print to film, and even product development, where she collaborated with Juan Juan of Beverly Hills on a hair care line. Eventually Simone settled in the feature film world, where her talent and uplifting personality attracted several loyal clients. Known for creating a flawlessly natural looking face, her expertise continues to include educating and advising skin care treatment. Simone is also proficient with airbrush, special effects makeup, tattoos, and synthetic facial hair. Passion for product with great technique, a profound understanding of color, knowledge of beauty and glamour; these are the traits propelling Simone to the top of her craft, exactly where she wants to be. 4.

Macy) and two daughters. 2 WEST HOLLYWOOD Felicity Huffman is on a wild ride. Her ABC show, Desperate Housewives, became hot, hot, hot last season and hasn't lost much steam. She won the Emmy in September over two of her Housewives co-stars. And now she is getting not just critical praise, but also Oscar talk, for her performance in the upcoming film Transamerica, in which she plays Sabrina "Bree" Osbourne, a pre- operative man-to-woman transsexual. After more than 20 years as an actress, this happily married, 42-year-old mother of two is today's "it" girl. "It couldn't happen to a nicer gal," says Housewives creator Marc Cherry. "Felicity is one of those success stories that was waiting to happen." Huffman has enjoyed the kindness of critics before, particularly for her role on Sports Night, an ABC sitcom in the late '90s. And Cherry points out that her stock in Hollywood has been high. "She has always had the respect of this entire industry," he says. But that's nothing like having a hit show and a movie with awards potential, albeit a modestly budgeted, art house-style film.

59th Primetime Emmys Winners Revealed Sopranos, 30 Rock Take Top Series Honors September 16, 2007—A notorious crime family, a fictional sketch-comedy show, an iconic singer and a female British detective were among the big winners at the 59th Primetime Emmy Awards, which took place at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles and was telecast on the Fox network. Host for the ceremony was American Idol host Ryan Seacrest. Other highlights included a 30th anniversary tribute to a groundbreaking miniseries and a moving musical send-off to one of the most celebrated series in television history. Among the twenty-nine categories honored, NBC topped the list with seven wins. ABC and HBO followed closely with six winged statuettes each. Combined with their awards at last Saturday’s Creative Arts Emmys, the three networks led for the year as well: HBO earned twenty-one, NBC nineteen and ABC ten. CBS, which won one award on the night, also earned a total of ten between the two shows. The Sopranos, HBO’s acclaimed production about the travails of a New Jersey Mob boss and his intertwined biological and criminal families, took the prize for Outstanding Drama Series, and 30 Rock, NBC’s look at the backstage activity at a late-night sketch- comedy show, was named Outstanding Comedy Series. The Sopranos, the NBC special Tony Bennett: An American Classic, the AMC miniseries Broken Trail and the PBS Masterpiece Theatre production Prime Suspect: The Final Act led the recipients of multiple awards with three each. It has been accepted for inclusion in University of Chicago Legal Forum by an authorized editor of Chicago Unbound. For more information, please contact [email protected]. The Rules of #MeToo Jessica A. Clarke† ABSTRACT Two revelations are central to the meaning of the #MeToo movement. First, sexual harassment and assault are ubiquitous. And second, traditional legal procedures have failed to redress these problems. In the absence of effective formal legal pro- cedures, a set of ad hoc processes have emerged for managing claims of sexual har- assment and assault against persons in high-level positions in business, media, and government. This Article sketches out the features of this informal process, in which journalists expose misconduct and employers, voters, audiences, consumers, or professional organizations are called upon to remove the accused from a position of power. Although this process exists largely in the shadow of the law, it has at- tracted criticisms in a legal register. President Trump tapped into a vein of popular backlash against the #MeToo movement in arguing that it is “a very scary time for young men in America” because “somebody could accuse you of something and you’re automatically guilty.” Yet this is not an apt characterization of #MeToo’s paradigm cases.

  • A Bronx Tale
A Bronx Tale Synopsis A Bronx Tale, a new musical set in the early 1960s, is based on the autobiographical play written by Chazz Palminteri. It tells the coming-of-age story of Calogero Anello, a young boy from a working class family who finds himself caught between his loving father and a charismatic mob boss. In Act One, Calogero witnesses Sonny, the mob boss, murdering someone right in front of his house on Belmont Avenue; Calogero covers for Sonny when questioned by the NYPD. Calogero’s father, Lorenzo, who is an MTA bus driver, wants to instill a strong sense of right and wrong in his son, but Calogero goes against his father’s wishes. After Sonny is released by the police with no charges against him, he takes Calogero under his wing and helps him get involved with the “glamorous” world of organized crime. Sometime later, Calogero is all grown up and a full prodigy of Sonny, but his father has no idea he has continued to see Sonny. Calogero has also developed a group of Italian- American friends that Sonny thinks is a bad influence over him and encourages Calogero to stick to his schoolwork. Calogero meets an African-American girl, Jane, on Webster Avenue which is a very different side of the Bronx than where Calogero lives. He asks his father for advice on what he should do when he and Jane go on a date. Calogero’s father doesn’t exactly approve of him going out with Jane because he is concerned for his son’s safety, considering the high racial tensions on the time period, but Lorenzo still gives him advice.

  • Teri Hatcher Struggles with Pain on the Path to Happiness
Teri Hatcher Struggles with Pain on the Path to Happiness Desperate Housewives star Teri Hatcher has had a year full of medical problems, including broken ribs and a “frozen shoulder,” but as she told Prevention in their June issue, it’s not slowing her down in finding love and happiness. Hatcher’s medical problems began when she turned 45 after she cracked two ribs falling off a ladder while helping build a stage for her daughter’s birthday party. Then, while filming ABC’s hit reality show Desperate Housewives, she broke another two ribs while pole dancing. But all of these maladies have taken a backseat to her “frozen shoulder.” Frozen shoulder, medically referred to as adhesive capsulitis, causes stiffness and chronic pain in the shoulder area and greatly restricts movement of the arm. It’s sometimes associated with perimenopause (which Hatcher has stated that she does not have), and is found in women between the ages of 45 and 55. The disease lasts for about two years, and then, just like magic, disappears. “It doesn’t even sound like a real disease, but it’s debilitating,” Hatcher told Prevention. At her lowest point, Hatcher was found sobbing in her closet because putting her clothes caused too much pain. She has gone to three doctors to help her with her shoulder trying many different treatments, including reflexology, raw food, physical therapy and extra strength Advil. But sadly, she has not found lasting relief from the constant pain. However, despite going through a rough year, the actress is still trying to find romance.
