No. CEE/4848/2013/KEAM-2014/TA1 Government of Kerala Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations Housing Board Buildings, Santhi Nagar, Thiruvananthapuram - 695 001 NOTIFICATION CENTRALISED ALLOTMENT PROCESS FOR PROFESSIONAL DEGREE COURSES - 2014 The activities related to the Centralised Allotment Process (CAP) to Professional Degree Courses for the year 2014-15 will commence from 17.06.2014 (Tuesday). Candidates included in the rank lists for Kerala Medical /Engineering/Architecture courses – 2014 can register their options on the Website www.cee.kerala.gov.in from 17.06.2014 to 23.06.2014, 5 pm. Candidates who do not register their options within the stipulated time will not be considered for allotment under any circumstances. The “Option Facilitation Centres” [OFC] and “Help Desks” [HD], having internet facility, will be functioning throughout the State during this period for providing necessary help to the candidates for registration of options. The details of such centers are available on the website, www.cee.kerala.gov.in The schedule for the first phase of allotment is given below: 17.06.2014 Opening of the online option registration facility. 20.06.2014 Trial Allotment 23.06.2014 – 5 pm Closing of option registration facility. 25.06.2014 First allotment Candidates allotted to all courses shall remit the fee shown in 26.06.2014 to 03.07.2014 the allotment memo at selected branches of State Bank of Travancore (SBT). Candidates allotted to MBBS/BDS courses alone should join the 27.06.2014 to 03.07.2014 respective colleges. Candidates allotted to all other courses need not join the colleges. Submission of Non-joining report by the College authorities 03.07.2014 before 5 pm. (For MBBS & BDS only). The schedule for further allotments will be notified in due course. The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations will be making allotments in the First Phase to the various Professional Degree courses in the following Colleges: Sl.No. Colleges Annexure 1. Private Self-financing Architecture Colleges XV Mandatory Reservation : Leaving the seats set apart for All India Quota, Government of India Nominees, Special reservation, Persons with Disabilities and Management, the remaining Government seats for each course in Govt./Aided/Kerala Agricultural University/Kerala Veterinary & Animal Sciences University/Kerala University of Fisheries & Ocean Studies Colleges will be distributed as per the mandatory reservation principle as contemplated in G.O. (P) 208/66/Edn. Dated 2.5.1966, G.O. (Ms) No. 95/08/SCSTDD Dated 06.10.2008 and as modified from time to time. The percentage break-up of seats as per mandatory reservation is as follows: (A) State Merit (SM) - 64% (B) Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) - 26% a. Ezhava (EZ) - 9% b. Muslim (MU) - 8% c. Other Backward Hindu (BH) - 5% d. Latin Catholics (LC) - 2% e. Other Backward Christian (BX) - 1% f. Kudumbi (KU) - 1% (C) Scheduled Castes & Scheduled Tribes - 10% a. Scheduled Castes (SC) - 8% b. Scheduled Tribes (ST) - 2% The existing reservation policy in Government, Government Aided Colleges will be continued. The seat reservation policy and fee structure applicable to other Self-financing institutions will be as follows: Professional Colleges Government seats Reservation of seats 1. Government Colleges 100% 2. Aided colleges and Govt./ University As applicable in Govt./ 85% controlled Self Financing Colleges Govt-Aided Colleges 3. Private Self-Financing colleges 50% Note: (1) Separate notifications will be issued in the case of Private Self Financing Colleges for the allotment to the Community/Registered Society/Registered Trust seats. (2) In the case of Self-financing Engineering Colleges under Government control and in Self- financing Engineering Colleges under Kerala, Mahatma Gandhi and Calicut Universities, 35% of the seats under Management quota also will be allotted by the CEE. The CEE will allot only 25% of the seats under Management quota, in the case of SCT College of Engineering, Pappanamcode, Thiruvananthapuram. Allotment to these seats will be strictly on the basis of merit. FEE STRUCTURE ENGINEERING Government/Aided Engineering Colleges Rs.8,225/- Self Financing Engineering Colleges under the 50% Govt. Seats Financing Engineering College Management *25% Lower Income 25% Others Association (KSFECMA) Group Tuition Fee - Rs.50,000/- Note: Rs.50,000/- Special Fee - Rs.25000/- Those who got allotment should remit Rs.10,000/- For Naval Architecture and Ship Building Course in favour of the CEE, Trivandrum at specified branches of SBT. Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme: For Engineering courses, the Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme will be implemented as per the norms fixed by the AICTE. The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has sanctioned 5% of the total intake as supernumerary seats for admission under Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme and the allotment to such seats shall be made by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations along with the first round of allotment. (MS) 25/2005/SCSTDD, dated: 20.06.2005, have to remit token deposit at the rates mentioned below, as token of having accepted the allotment: 1. MBBS/BDS courses : Rs. 1000/- 2. Engineering/Architecture : Rs. 1,000/- 3. All Other Courses : Rs. 100/- The candidates getting allotment are liable to remit the fee fixed by the Fee Regulatory Committee if the fee fixed on the basis of agreement between Government and Self-financing Managements is not approved by the Hon’ble Court or any competent authority. The allotment to Colleges / Courses will be subject to recognition of All India Regulatory Bodies / Affiliation from the Universities. Note: The candidates whose results have been withheld due to various reasons can also register their online options for allotment. But the options submitted by such candidates will not be considered for allotment unless they produce the required documents to clear the defects and release their ranks before 5 pm on 19.06.2014.
