2014 Fact Sheet EVENT: Northern Trust Open What started as the Los Angeles Open in 1926 at Los Angeles Country Club, the Northern Trust Open is now one of the longest-running tournaments on the PGA TOUR. It was staged at various courses throughout the Los Angeles area before permanently settling at Riviera Country Club in 1973. Outside of the major championships, the Northern Trust Open is the fourth-oldest event on TOUR, trailing only the BMW Championship, the RBC Canadian Open and the Valero Texas Open. The 2012 Northern Trust Open raised $1.7 million for non-profit organizations in the Los Angeles area, bringing the total generated for Los Angeles charities since the event’s inception to $55.2 million. In July 2012, City of Hope, a leading research, treatment and education center for cancer, diabetes, HIV/AIDS and other life-threatening diseases, was named Official Charity of the Northern Trust Open. As the official charity, City of Hope utilizes the event as a platform to educate the nation about its work and benefits from the considerable charitable dollars generated each year from tournament proceeds. In turn, City of Hope works alongside the Northern Trust Open to generate exposure, sales, promotion and growth of the event. Although City of Hope is the primary beneficiary of the Northern Trust Open, the long-term charitable strategy of the event includes three additional avenues for local organizations to receive funding: The LA Legends Club (which award grants to deserving charities of their choice each year); Community Charities (TICKETS Fore CHARITY™ participants, as well as the Birdies for the Brave® Patriots’ Outpost and The First Tee); and Operational Charities (those that assist with the operations of the tournament and receive charitable contributions for facility use and staffing).     For Immediate Release: September 29, 2006 Dick’s Sporting Goods Open to be held at En-Joie Golf Course Champions Tour Event Dates Will Be July 9-15, 2007 (Endicott, NY) — Broome County Community Charities Inc. announced today that it will host a Champions Tour event at the En-Joie Golf Course on July 9-15, 2007. Senator Tom Libous and Dick’s Sporting Goods (NYSE: DKS) have provided significant funding for this event, which will be named the Dick’s Sporting Goods Open and will carry a purse of $1.6 million Senator Libous has secured $500,000 in Senate Tourism and Economic Development money for the 2007 Dick’s Sporting Goods Open. “Broome County Community Charities, Inc. would like to thank Dick’s Sporting Goods and Senator Libous for their support and contribution to our event,” said Alex Alexander, Executive Director of Broome Charities. “The enthusiasm and support to host a Champions Tour event has been tremendous. We are confident that the Champions Tour players will be impressed with this high quality tournament to be contested where many of them first visited us on the PGA TOUR.” Broome County Community Charities, Inc. has been the cornerstone of professional golf in Central New York since the event was first held in 1971. As host of the PGA TOUR’s B.C. Open, Broome Charities has contributed over $8 million to numerous local charities. Our primary charitable recipients are the Lourdes Hospital Foundation and United Health Services Foundation. Additionally, local service clubs such as Rotary, Kiwanis and Lions who assist in the operation of the tournament, have received substantial dollars for their charitable organizations.

    2017 KITCHENAID SENIOR PGA CHAMPIONSHIP MEDIA INFORMATION ➢ The 78th KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship will be played in the Washington, DC area for the first time when it visits the Trump National Golf Club in Potomac Falls, VA. Designed by Tom Fazio in 1991 and redesigned again in 2014, the Championship Course boasts views of the nearby Potomac River on 13 of 18 holes. The course will play at par-72, 7,130 yards for the championship. Two of the courses signature holes are No. 13, a 544-yard, par-5 and No. 15, a 175-yard par-3. ➢ This year’s KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship will be the second of five major championships on PGA TOUR Champions in 2017. The Regions Tradition kicked things off last week at Greystone Golf and Country Club in Birmingham with Bernhard Langer defending his 2016 title. The final three major champions will get under way starting in five weeks at the U.S. Senior Open at Salem Country Club in Peabody, MA where Gene Sauers will defend (June 29- July 3). After a one-week break, the Constellation SENIOR PLAYERS Championship will take place at Caves Valley Golf Club in suburban Baltimore (July 10-16). The Senior Open Championship will be the fifth and final major championship and will be contested at Royal Porthcawl Golf Club in Bridgend, Wales (July 24-30). ➢ PGA TOUR Champions is certainly no stranger to the Washington, DC area. In 1995 Tom Weiskopf defeated Jack Nicklaus by four strokes at the U.S. Senior Open at Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, MD.
