In turn, companies that offer mobile communications services have become important means to build bridges between people and between companies, regardless of their location. To maintain optimal functioning of these organizations, a strong and also flexible “backbone” is needed. A transnational company that is important to the Balkan region, operating in the telecommunications area, is the OTE SA company, based in Greece. The company formed together with its subsidiaries the OTE Group. The OTE Group carries out activities in Romania through the mobile subsidiary Cosmote Romania, which was imposed in our country as a major mobile operator. Introduction: Group structure and organization of OTE Telecommunications Company Hellenic Telecommunication Organization SA (OTE SA) is a traditional supplier of telecommunications services in Greece, which forms, together with its subsidiaries, one of the leading telecommunications companies in South East Europe - OTE Group. The group provides fixed telephony services, broadband Internet, data transmission, leased lines and mobile services in Greece, Romania, Albania and Bulgaria. OTE Company SA holds 54% of the shares of RomTelecom, the incumbent telecommunications operator in Romania, providing services through fixed line (voice, broadband Internet, leased lines) and Satellite TV Service, as shown by Figure no. -

The objective of this paper is to analyze the motives, the actions and the results of the collaborations and alliances of two Greek mobile telephony companies (Cosmote and Vodafone Hellas). In addition, this paper illustrates examples of how the technology change and the technological convergence (Internet, computers, and mobile telephony) affected and activated the proliferation of these alliances. -

View this email in your browser Message by the Chairman Dear Member, dear Colleague, An eventful year with many challenges is drawing to a close. Each and every one of us will remember 2020. We were all made aware of how vulnerable our economies, our societies and all of us really are and that the value of personal conversation and real meetings cannot be fully replaced by teleconferences. Nevertheless, the HbbTV Association has impressively confirmed its ability to act during this difficult time and has continued its assignments without interruption. The Targeted Advertising Specification (HbbTV-TA) celebrated its successful launch in February (Our last and only Steering Group meeting in person this year... How great this was.). This was followed by the versions 2020-1 and 2020-2 of the Conformance Test Suite and, at the end of October, an update of our core specification, HbbTV 2.0.3. The next version 2.0.4 is already on the launch pad as the requirements have recently been agreed as part of our revamped and quite efficient requirement capture process. With the Privacy Task Force, the HbbTV Association wants to support its members in ensuring compliance with GDPR and privacy regulations while still making the best possible usage of HbbTV's powerful interactive features. With deep regrets we had to cancel our 9th HbbTV Symposium and Awards, which was planned for November 2020 in Paris at the invitation of Salto, and the celebration of our 10th anniversary also had to be cancelled. Instead, we launched a successful series of virtual events in June with the HbbTV webinars, which is now considered a benchmark for many in the industry and provides an excellent opportunity to disseminate the benefits of HbbTV to the broader ecosystem; this is one of the good things that resulted from the painful virus situation. -

Deutsche Telekom Group Measures to Make the Internet a Better Place for Kids Bonn, 21st January 2013 Inspired by the discussions within the 'CEO Coalition to make the internet a better place for kids' and the 'Principles for the Safer Use of Connected Devices and Online Services by Children and Young People in the EU' (ICT Coalition) on EU level, Deutsche Telekom Group commits to a set of measures that further improve child online safety in its European Union markets. These measures strive to provide effective solutions to identified problems in the area of child online safety based on Deutsche Telekom Group's businesses. By taking these steps, Deutsche Telekom builds on its engagement of the recent years and continuously takes on responsibility for own services and products within the ICT sector. Deutsche Telekom’s earlier international commitments to improve child safety are: . European Framework for Safer Mobile Use by Younger Teenagers and Children1, . Mobile Alliance against Child Sexual Abuse Content2, . Teach Today3. Various additional commitments have been undertaken by Deutsche Telekom Group’s subsidiaries on national level too. Each of the measures of this new commitment will be implemented in the services and products of each of Deutsche Telekom's subsidiaries in the EU within the next 12 months.
