LOUIS – September 23, 2013 – Home from their final road trip, the postseason-bound St. Louis Cardinals return to Busch Stadium to close out the 2013 regular season. The Cardinals will play three games with both the Washington Nationals and Chicago Cubs as they look to secure the Central Division Championship. A Stan Musial memorabilia exhibit, Yadier Molina Growth Poster Day, autograph opportunities with Ozzie Smith, Jason Motte and Jason Isringhausen, and complimentary 2014 ticket vouchers highlight the final regular-season homestand of 2013. Monday, September 23, 2013 — Cardinals vs. Washington Nationals (7:15 p.m.) Strikeout Childhood Cancer Day: Jason Motte and the Cardinals are teaming up to strike out childhood cancer. Tickets are just $10 in RF/LF Pavilion, and $3 of each ticket will benefit Childhood Cancer Research. Purchase the special ticket at cardinals.com/kcancer. Roberto Clemente Award Nomination Ceremony for Carlos Beltran: In a ceremony prior to the game, the Cardinals will present Carlos Beltran with his nomination for the 2013 Roberto Clemente Award. Beltran is one of the 30 Club finalists for the annual award, which recognizes a Major League Baseball player who best represents the game of baseball through positive contributions on and off the field, including sportsmanship and community involvement. The Roberto Clemente Award presented by Chevrolet pays tribute to Clemente’s achievements and character by recognizing current players who truly understand the value of helping others. Fans are encouraged to vote for Carlos Beltran at ChevyBaseball.com. Voting ends on Sunday, October 6th and participating fans will be automatically registered for a chance to win a trip to the 2013 World Series, where the national winner of the Roberto Clemente Award will be announced. The winner of the fan vote will receive one vote among those cast by the selection panel. Redbird Rookies 10th Anniversary: In 2013, Cardinals Care celebrates the 10th anniversary of the innovative Redbird Rookies program, a free baseball league for kids who otherwise might not have the opportunity to play. In addition to providing all the uniforms, gloves, bats, balls and other equipment needed for each team, Redbird Rookies also provides extensive off-field support in the areas of health, education, mentoring and the cultural arts for each of the nearly 4,500 kids who participate in the program each year. In a ceremony prior to the game, the Cardinals and Cardinals Care will recognize program sponsors, Rawlings and The Saigh Foundation, as 9-year Redbird Rookie participant Riana McDonald throws out the ceremonial first pitch. MLBPAA Auction: The Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association will conduct a baseball-themed silent auction inside Gate 3, Gate 1, UMB Champions Club, and the Cardinals Club from the time gates open through the seventh inning. All proceeds will benefit Cardinals Care and the Players Alumni Association, a non-profit group that strives to preserve the game of baseball while supporting a variety of charities. – more – Tuesday, September 24, 2013 — Cardinals vs. Washington Nationals (7:15 p.m.) Luggage Tag: 25,000 ticketed-fans, ages 16 and older, receive a Cardinals luggage tag, courtesy of Apple Vacations. Phillips 66 Autograph Day: Phillips 66 is providing Cardinals fans with the opportunity to meet Jason Motte or Jason Isringhausen on Tuesday, September 24. Each Cardinal closer will be signing 150 autographs in Riverview Corner between 5:45 and 6:30. Fans will have the choice between the two, and there will be 150 line tickets for each player. Presented by Phillips 66. Waino’s World: In a ceremony prior to the game, Adam Wainwright and his nonprofit, Waino’s World, will present a $110,000 check which will be split between Operation Food Search and Water Missions International as they help bring food and water to people in the St. Louis area and around the world. Career Day: The Cardinals, Fox 2 and KPLR 11 present Career Day at Busch. Students and educators can enjoy a special pre-game Q&A Panel Discussion with executives from both companies, focusing on careers in sports and media. Following the special presentation, students can attend an exclusive College Fair with representatives from many colleges and universities from around the Midwest. Each $15 Career Day ticket includes access to all of the pre-game activities, a Cards/Nationals game ticket, plus a free hot dog, soda and chips. Budweiser Bash Friday: Enjoy music and autographs in the Ford Plaza beginning at 5:15 p.m. The first 200 fans to line up at the Budweiser Bash entrance (Gate 5) will be given guaranteed autograph line tickets for Cardinal Hall of Famer Ozzie Smith. Only fans with autograph tickets will receive an autograph. Autograph ticket distribution begins one hour prior to gates opening. Budweiser Bash Fridays are sponsored by Budweiser Beer. Series Finale of #Nestflix Instagram Video Series #TheFrontOffice - Must See Mobile: The Cardinals #Nestflix original Instagram video series #TheFrontOffice series finale is Friday, September 27th. Originally a photo- sharing service, Instagram incorporated video-sharing in late June of this year, allowing users to share videos lasting up to 15 seconds. With the debut of #TheFrontOffice on September 10th, the Cardinals became the first MLB team to tell a story episodically using the video functionality of Instagram (@cardinals). The series, comprised of approximately 40 episodes, is a parody of the popular TV Show “The Office” starring Phyllis Smith, Bill DeWitt III, John Mozeliak, David Freese, Jason Motte, Fredbird, the Rally Squirrel and an all-star cast from the Cardinals Front Office. The fifth homestand of the season is highlighted by the first-ever Elvis Theme Night, Photo Day and the start of All-Star voting. #VoteSTL Thursday, May 31, 2018 — Cardinals vs. Pittsburgh Pirates (6:15 p.m.) Gates open at 4:45 p.m. • Scouts Night: All Girl/Boy Scouts and their families are invited to Scout Night at the ballpark.
