Community Service
David Castagnetti Class of 1979
As a former Captain and letterman of the 1978 Superbowl Team, David has stepped up as a Football Alumni. From a period of 2007 to date, Dave has donated to the MHS Football Team a significant financial amount.. The financial contribution has been used to fund the $500 David Castagnetti Scholarship, given annually to a deserving senior football athlete. Other portions of his proceeds have gone to fund past football camps as a financial aid tool for those in need, apparel such as jackets for departing seniors at the wrap up banquet, equipment purchases and pre-game dinner needs.
David has also devoted his time at Thanksgiving time as he has been the Guest Speaker at the Thanksgiving Day Eve Headmaster’s Dinner” sharing his experiences playing and the what the blue and white means to him.

Most recently during Peter Leahy Robert Maloney, Jr the planning for the 100th Medford versus Carmine Del Trecco Daniel Cappellucci Malden Football Game, the idea was again Steve Silvio William Healy advanced, this time by John Stabile Nicole Russell Nick Tucci
Dennis DeLeo Kevin Scola In January 1988, Tom Convery invited a James Martorana Frank Tortorella group of individuals who represent a cross Michael Moreno David Crowley section of the community to serve as the Andrea Tringali Julian Mundele Charter Committee for the Hall of Fame. John Chiesa Sean Murphy Veronica Lanier With their enthusiastic ascent the project Coaches Denise Pachan was launched Ernie Ardolino Akilah King Throughout the organizing process, Community Service Coaches Convery stressed that the selection process should remain steadfast to the rule that the Dr. Brian Golden Paul Mattatall candidates for induction into the Hall of Mark Smith Fame be evaluated on what they did in Community Service Brian Branson sports while at Medford High School exclusively. Accomplishments in sports Ken Cooper while at college or at the professional level were to have no bearing on the selection committee’s deliberations
