Perry completed 23 of 29 passes for 239 yards, no interceptions, no sacks, and two thrown touchdowns. His completion percentage of 79.3 is the best by a quarterback in his first start since NAU started keeping track in 2000. He threw touchdowns of two and 15 yards. NAU scored 29 unanswered points to win its third straight conference game. • Junior cornerback Marcus Alford recorded his third interception of the season when he picked off Jadrian Clark in the end zone. The interception denied Weber State its would-be fourth touch- down of the game, which could have made a difference in the game. Alford added three tackles and one pass breakup, as he helped the NAU defense hold Weber State to zero touchdowns past the first quarter.

Down Goes Frazier! • NAU pulled one of the biggest upsets in the FCS this season when it defeated No. 2 Eastern Washington, 28-27, on Oct. 25 in the Lumberjacks’ Homecoming game. Backup quarterback Jor- dan Perry found true freshman Dan Galindo in the end zone for the 20-yard game winning touchdown.

Austin Hasquet Named 2014 NFF National Scholar-Athlete IRVING, Texas – Northern Arizona’s Austin Hasquet has been selected as a 2014 NFF National Scholar-Athlete, presented by Fidelity Investments, and a finalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy. Hasquet was chosen from among 169 semifinalists for this award and will be honored at the NFF Annual Awards Dinner, alongside the 2014 College Football Hall of Fame Class, on Tues- day, December 9th. Hasquet is the first honoree in NAU history to receive the honor. Hasquet, a biomedical science major with a 3.97 grade point average is set to graduate in three and a half years this December. He has made the Dean’s List every semester and earned 2013 CoSIDA Academic All-American honors for his outstanding per- formance on the field and in the classroom. He is a three-time Golden Eagle Scholar-Athlete and three-time Big Sky All-Academ- ic honoree. A native of Peoria, Ariz., Hasquet was named to the 2013 All-Big Sky Third Team and 2013 College Sports Madness All-Big Sky Third Team. Hasquet currently leads NAU with 72 tackles and is 11 away from breaking the NAU career tackles record. Each member of the 2014 NFF National Scholar-Athlete Class will travel to New York City to be honored Dec. 9 during the 57th NFF Annual Awards Dinner at the Waldorf Astoria where their accomplishments will be highlighted in front of one of the most powerful audienc- es in all of sports. They each will receive an $18,000 postgraduate scholarship, and one member of the class will also be announced live at the event as the 25th recipient of the William V. Campbell Trophy, which recognizes an individual as the absolute best scholar-athlete in the nation. The recipient of the Campbell Trophy will also be honored at the NFF Board of Directors meeting and at a reception hosted by the New York Athletic Club on Wednesday, Dec. 10. “We are extremely proud to announce this year’s National Scholar-Athlete Class,” said NFF President & CEO Steve Hatchell. “These young men have an unrelenting commitment to excellence in all aspects of their lives, and they represent all that is right in college football. They serve as living examples of our mission of building leaders through football, and they create an exceptional pool of candidates for the Campbell Trophy.” Nominated by their schools, which are limited to one nominee each, candidates for the awards must be a senior or graduate student in their final year of eligibility, have a GPA of at least 3.2 on a 4.0 scale, have outstanding football ability as a first team player or significant contributor and have demonstrated strong leadership and citizenship. The class is selected each year by the NFF Awards Committee, which is comprised of a nationally recognized group of media, College Football Hall of Famers and athletics administrators.
