Cependant, la pandémie de la COVID-19 n’est en aucune manière éradiquée et il convient de demeurer plus que jamais vigilant. Je vous invite à la prudence, au strict respect des gestes barrières pour préserver votre santé et celle de vos proches. L’équipe de la Fédération monégasque d’athlétisme, avec le soutien sans faille de World Athletics, de European Athletics, de l’ensemble des services des administrations française et monégasque et de notre partenaire EBS auxquels j’adresse mes plus vifs remerciements, est en mesure ce soir de vous présenter une formidable 35ème édition d’Herculis. Je suis convaincu que les athlètes présents vont nous faire vibrer par leurs performances à quelques semaines des Jeux Olympiques de Tokyo. Je vous souhaite une très belle soirée et espère vous retrouver toutes et tous en août 2022 pour la 36ème édition de notre Herculis. Sebastian Coe Président de World Athletics et Président du Conseil d’administration de Diamond League AG Lors d’une année olympique, lorsque la saison en plein air commence, il y a toujours un surcroît d’excitation qui se trouve démultipliée cette année après les reports et les perturbations que la pandémie de 2020 a occasionnés. Malgré les nombreuses difficultés auxquelles la Ligue de diamant Wanda a dû faire face en 2020, nos directeurs de meeting, toujours aussi créatifs et pleins de ressources, ont tout de même réussi à offrir une saison internationale solide aux meilleurs athlètes du monde, afin qu’ils puissent poursuivre leur travail de préparation pour cette année. En raison des nombreuses restrictions de voyage qui étaient encore en vigueur en juin de l’année dernière, les Bislett Games d’Oslo ont été réorganisés et rebaptisés les Impossible Games. Le meeting Weltklasse à Zurich a fait de même en juillet avec les Inspiration Games. Le meeting Athletissima a organisé une compétition de saut à la perche dans le centre-ville de Lausanne, et le Mémorial Van Damme à Bruxelles a généré deux records du monde de la course de l’heure qui figurait au programme en tant qu’épreuve d’exhibition. En août, le meeting Bauhaus-Galan de Stockholm et le meeting Herculis de Monaco ont pu organiser des compétitions plus traditionnelles. En septembre, la saison s’est achevée en beauté avec le Golden Gala de Rome et le meeting de Doha. L’année dernière à Monaco, les retrouvailles avec des compétitions plus coutumières pour la Ligue de diamant ont été ponctuées de magnifiques performances. Avec un chrono de 12’35’’36, l’Ougandais Joshua Cheptegei a pulvérisé le record du monde du 5000m, améliorant la marque qui avait été établie par Kenenisa Bekele 16 ans plus tôt. Parmi les autres performances marquantes, nous pouvons citer le record du meeting sur 5000m établi par Hellen Obiri et les victoires au sprint de Noah Lyles et Ajla del Ponte. Compte tenu des circonstances, nous étions heureux de pouvoir offrir un semblant de normalité à nos athlètes internationaux à ce moment-là, mais je suis ravi que nous puissions être en mesure de retrouver une certaine stabilité cette année. Au moment d’écrire le présent message, 13 meetings de la Ligne de diamant Wanda étaient prévus cette année, avec en point d’orgue une finale de deux jours à Zurich en septembre. Les primes pour les meilleurs athlètes de chaque discipline de la ligue ont également été rétablies. La compétition est le cœur de notre sport et son absence s’est fait cruellement sentir au cours de l’année écoulée. Je sais que nos athlètes d’élite sont impatients de renouer avec la scène sportive mondiale et d’offrir un spectacle à nos fans. Je ne doute pas que nous aurons encore des écueils à surmonter en chemin, car la pandémie sévit toujours. Elle nous a néanmoins permis d’apprécier et de mieux mesurer le privilège de voir les meilleurs athlètes du monde concourir sur une scène internationale. La Ligue de diamant Wanda est le rendez-vous incontournable des meetings d’une journée. Alors, tenez-vous prêts pour regarder les athlètes briller. Depuis les 152 classés en 1988, le nombre de participants n’a cessé d’augmenter ; 778 en 2002, 977 en 2011, 1203 en 2012, jusqu’à 1708 en 2019. Après leurs annulation en 2020 à cause de la crise sanitaire, nous sommes heureux de pouvoir proposer à nouveau des courses de 1000m cette année, sous un format réduit à 20 départs au lieu des 43 initialement prévus. La course “Poussins Masculins” s’est vu attribuée “le challenge Robert Enrietti”, en mémoire du plus ancien membre de la section de l’AS Monaco Athlétisme, vice-président du club, récemment disparu à l’âge de 96 ans. RETRO 2002 RETRO 2002 HERCULIS ZEPTER (Golden League) Vendredi 19 juillet - Beau temps. 86 905 points (2e) Un des sommets de la Golden League, dans la foulée d’Hicham El Guerrouj (3’27’’54 au 1500 m). Pour sa seule course sur piste de l’année depuis sa victoire dans le marathon de Londres (2h18’56’’, à 7’’ du record du monde de Catherine Ndereba), Paula Radcliffe impose un dernier kilomètre époustouflant dans le 3000 m mais Gabriela Szabo s’impose et améliore le record d’Europe (8’21’’42). L’Anglaise se contente d’un record personnel (8’22’’20), la Kenyane Edith Masai (35 ans) établissant un record d’Afrique (8’23’’23). Record d’Europe encore, plus surprenant, avec le Hollandais Simon Vroemen, 3e du 3000 m steeple (8’06’’91) derrière Brahim Boulami (7’58’’09) écarté des pistes un mois plus tard et Stephen Cherono… Avalanche de records dans le 1500 m derrière El Guerrouj et Bernard Lagat (3’27’’91) avec le Portugais Rui Silva (3’30’’07), le Kenyan Cornelius RETRO 2002 Chirchir (3’30’’24, record du monde junior) qui en restera là, et Driss Maazouzi (3’31’’45, record de France). Douzième victoire consécutive pour Felix Sanchez (47’’86) devant Stéphane Diagana (48’’11), et succès pour Wilson Kipketer (1’43’’6), Svetlana Feofanova (4,69 m), Gail Devers (12’’42 sur 100 m haies), Ana Guevara (49’’25 au 400 m), Benjamin Limo (7’34’’72 au 3000 m), Marion Jones (10’’84), Christian Olsson devant Jonathan Edwards (17,63 m et 17,59 m) et Maurice Greene (9’’97). Saut à la Perche Hommes Le recordman du monde du saut à la perche, Armand Duplantis (SUE) (6.18m en 2020) a sauté le plus haut ce soir. Franchissant 6.00m à son troisième essai, il remporte le concours et établit la meilleure performance mondiale de l’année. Focus on 09.08.2020 110m Haies Hommes Le médaillé mondial, olympique et vainqueur de la Diamond League, Orlando Ortega (ESP) l’a emporté en 13.11. Saut en Hauteur Femmes Doublé ukrainien à 1.98m. La détentrice du record du monde U20, Yaroslava Mahuchikh a remporté le concours aux essais avec un saut à 1.98m. devant sa compatriote Yuliya Levchenko. 800m Hommes Le Champion du Monde en titre, Donavan Brazier (USA) s’est offert la victoire du 800m en 1:43.15, synonyme de meilleure performance mondiale de l’année. Triple Saut Femmes Yulimar Rojas (VEN) l’a emporté avec un saut de 14.27m. 5000m Femmes La championne du Monde Hellen Obiri (KEN) a établi un nouveau record du Meeting en 14:22.12. Terminant quatrième en 14:43.80, Jessica Hull (AUS) a quant à elle établi un nouveau record d’Australie. Focus on 09.08.2020 “JobZone 400m Haies” Pour sa première Diamond League à Monaco, le double Champion du Monde et détenteur du record d’Europe, Karsten Warholm (NOR) a établi un nouveau record du Meeting en 47.10.

    Welcome to Thursday 13 June 2019 Once again, we have the pleasure of inviting the media to the Oslo Bislett Games at the Bislett stadium in Oslo, Norway. This year’s edition of the traditional meeting takes place on Thursday 13 June and is the fifth meeting of the 2019 IAAF Diamond League series. The IAAF Diamond League The IAAF Diamond League showcases 32 event disciplines following a championship style model where athletes earn points at the qualification meetings to qualify for the final of their discipline. At each of the 12 qualification meetings, athletes are awarded 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 or 1 points for ranking 1st to 8th, respectively. The top 8 or 12 athletes (depending on the discipline) will be awarded a start at the Final. The Final takes place in Zürich (29 August) and Brussels (6 September). Each of the disciplines is staged six or four times before the Final. The winner at the Final of each Diamond Discipline will become “IAAF Diamond League Champion” and be awarded a Diamond Trophy, USD 50 000 prize money and a wild card for the IAAF World Championships (certain conditions apply). Diamond League disciplines The Diamond Trophy is awarded in the following event disciplines (men and women): Track events: 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m/1mile, 3000m/5000m, 3000m steeplechase, 100m hurdles (women) / 110m hurdles (men), 400m hurdles.     IAAF DIAMOND LEAGUE MEETINGS 2016 Status Requirements and Regulations 1. General Principles 1.1 The IAAF Diamond League shall include the best invitational outdoor athletics meetings in the world. 1.2 Regulations governing the IAAF Diamond League shall be issued to the IAAF Diamond League Meeting Organisers (the Organiser) and may be amended every year by the IAAF, in agreement with Diamond League AG. 1.3 The precise requirements are defined hereunder. 1.4 Meeting Directors agree to respect all Rules, Regulations and decisions taken by the General Assembly of the Diamond League AG. 1.5 At least one person from the host country National Federation, selected in agreement with the Organising Committee, must be co-opted onto the Organising Committee for liaison purposes. 1.6 The IAAF Diamond League Calendar 2016 can be found in Appendix 1. 1.7 Formal Application for an IAAF Permit shall be submitted as follows: on the appropriate Application Form; countersigned by the Meeting Director and the host National Federation; by the deadline set by the IAAF. 1.8 No application shall be considered if Diamond League requirements were not met in 2015 and/or if they are not guaranteed for 2016. 2. Evaluation & Reporting 2.1 All IAAF Diamond League Meetings will undergo an annual evaluation on all aspects of their organisation following the system agreed by the Diamond League AG: level of the athletes competing, attendance of spectators; respect of these regulations; respect of all other IAAF and Diamond League Regulations (such as Television Production and Graphic Branding Guidelines); respect of the financial commitments towards the athletes; conduct of anti-doping measures; technical conduct of the competition; services provided to the athletes; Diamond League concept and office support; media services.

General Principles 1.1 The IAAF Diamond League shall include the best invitational outdoor athletics meetings in the world. 1.2 Regulations governing the IAAF Diamond League shall be issued to the IAAF Diamond League Meeting Organisers (the Organiser) and may be amended every year by the IAAF, in agreement with Diamond League AG. 1.3 The precise requirements are defined hereunder. 1.4 Meeting Directors agree to respect all Rules, Regulations and decisions taken by the General Assembly of the Diamond League AG. 1.5 At least one person from the host country National Federation, selected in agreement with the Organising Committee, must be co-opted onto the Organising Committee for liaison purposes. 1.6 The IAAF Diamond League Calendar 2018 can be found in Appendix 1. 1.7 Formal Application for an IAAF Permit shall be submitted as follows: on the appropriate Application Form; countersigned by the Meeting Director and the host National Federation; by the deadline set by the IAAF. 1.8 No application shall be considered if Diamond League requirements were not met in 2017 and/or if they are not guaranteed for 2018. 2.
