January 8, 2014 Cracker Barrel Old Country Store® Will Release Bakersfield: Deluxe Edition, an Exclusive and Expanded Version of the Critically-Acclaimed Vince Gill and Paul Franklin Album, on January 27 Beginning Today, the 14-Song CD will be Available for Pre-Order at CrackerBarrel.com LEBANON, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Cracker Barrel Old Country Store® will release Bakersfield: Deluxe Edition, an exclusive and expanded edition of the critically-acclaimed album from 20x GRAMMY Award-winning artist Vince Gill and famed steel guitarist, Paul Franklin, on Monday, Jan. 27, 2014. The album pays tribute to the "Bakersfield" sound by performing songs from two of Bakersfield's favorite musical sons, Buck Owens and Merle Haggard. Bakersfield: Deluxe Edition will contain four additional songs (for a total of 14) and will retail for $11.99 at all Cracker Barrel Old Country Store® locations and online at crackerbarrel.com. One day later, the digital version of Bakersfield: Deluxe Edition will be available for purchase via iTunes and Amazon.com on Tuesday, Jan. 28. Beginning today, Cracker Barrel Old Country Store® will offer Bakersfield: Deluxe Edition CDs for pre-order exclusively at crackerbarrel.com. All CDs sold during the pre-order period will be shipped to purchasers on Jan. 27, the official day of release. Gill and Franklin shared producing duties on the album and were backed by a stellar band made up of John Hobbs on piano; Greg Morrow on drums; Willie Weeks and Brad Albin on bass; J. T. Corenflos on electric rhythm guitar; and Time Jumpers Kenny Sears, Larry Franklin, and Joe Spivey on fiddles and Dawn Sears on harmony vocals. One good innovation is the introduction of the “POST PLUS” satchels, which replace the old red satchels and include a tracking number. Available in 3 sizes they are 500 grams ($7.50) 3kgs ($11.50) 5kgs ($14.50) P & P. The latter 2 are perfect for larger interstate packages as anything over 500 grams even is going to cost more than $11.50. We can take a cd out of a case to reduce costs. Basically 1 cd still $2. 2cds $3 and rest as they will fit. Again Australia Post have this ludicrous notion that if a package can fit through a certain slot on a card it goes as a letter whereas if it doesn’t it is classified as a “parcel” and can cost up to 5 times as much. One day I will send a letter to the Minister for Trade as their policies are distinctly prejudicial to commerce. Out here they make massive profits but offer a very poor number of services and charge top dollar for what they do provide. Still, the mail mostly always gets there.     JESSICA FALK - “LITTLE LOVE”, release October 30 Swedish singer/songwriter Jessica Falk and Nashville based singer/songwriter Jenn Bostic originally met in a very special and unique way. You see, the girls both do a bit of the same thing. They both write songs and tell their respective stories in the lyrics of their songs with the goal of helping other people. Jenn is best known for her song “Jealous Of the Angels” which reached # 1 in the United Kingdom’s “Singer-Songwriter” charts. Jessica happened to be attending a concert in Nashville where Jenn was appearing at the Grand Ole Opry. Afterwards Jessica, who was very impressed by Jenn’s music, wrote to her to ask if she would like to try writing some songs together. This collaboration resulted in Jessica’s previous single “Make a Change” and her latest single ”Little Love" which is due to be released on Friday, October 30.
