Onstage in Theatre Too at Theatre Three: I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change

What would the Valennes season be without I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change by Joe DiPietro and Jimmy Rob‐ erts. Now in its 14th year, Theatre Three’s mega‐hit producon returns for a limited engagement with all performances in Thea‐ tre Too, Theatre Three’s inmate downstairs playspace. I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change begins on Thursday, January 9, 2014 and will close on Sunday, February 16, 2013.

Have you ever been on a really awkward, even bad first date? Have you ever wondered if that special someone would ever call? Did you experience pre‐wedding jiers or did you have to wear an ugly bridesmaid’s dress (and matching shoes, or course)? Have you ever held your wife’s purse while she went shopping or endured the endless football game your husband just had to watch? I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change is the hilarious musical revue about all of love’s greatest challenges: dang, sex, marriage, and family life.

I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change began its record‐breaking run at Theatre Three in June of 2000. The show’s success run at the Westside Theatre in New York ended on July 27, 2008. The New York producon ran for 20 pre‐ view performances and 5,003 regular performances, making it the second longest‐running musical in Off‐Broadway history. I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change! has been produced in 150 cies around the world including London, Tel Aviv, Mexico City, Barcelona, and Amsterdam. Over its three year run, the musical revue earned slightly more than one million dollars in cket revenue for Theatre Three, and worldwide, the show has grossed about $60 million. “Sherlock Holmes And The Curse of The Sign of Four” By Dennis Rosa (Based on the Novel by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle) Directed by Bear Hamilton Rotunda Theatre Series Wortley-Peabody Theatre of the First United Methodist Church, Dallas 1928 Ross Avenue, Dallas (the corner of Ross & Harwood)

Audition Dates: March 10 and 11, 2014 at 7:00 in the Wortley-Peabody Theatre

Performance Dates: May 16, 17, 22, 23 & 24

Roles available for: 5 men and 1 women and 1 boy (age 10 to 12): All must have an ability to speak in British dialect.

Based on the novel by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Sherlock Holmes fans everywhere will be familiar with this classic tale of stolen treasure and murder. Holmes and Watson (aided after a fashion by the bumbling Inspector Lestrade) are pitted for the first time against the diabolical Professor Moriarty. At stake are the safety and fortune of the lovely Mary Morstan, heir to her late father's riches of the Agra Treasure. The quest to solve the baffling mystery (and murders) surrounding the whereabouts of the missing booty brings sudden danger to Holmes, romance to Watson and high adventure to all concerned. The taut and fast moving story blends thrills and laughter as it deftly recreates the romantic-melodramatic style of the period in which it takes place.

No appointment needed. Bring headshot & resume if possible. Bring all of your conflicts. All roles are available. Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script.

What is Cooperative Arts News?

The Mission: The CAN organization was created for the purpose of helping cooperative member arts organizations build audiences by supporting each other. CAN will send notifications to list members with news of member organizations' upcoming events and other arts news of interest.

The Rules: 1. Since this is a "cooperative" of arts organizations supporting each other, member groups who would like to post notices, agree to "receive" notifications from other member groups in return. Individuals will have the option at any time to "opt-out" if they choose not to receive future notifications by e-mailing the list manager. 2. In order to preserve the integrity and quality of the postings to this list and to prevent any unwanted "Spamming," all notifications that member groups want to send through this notification list must come through the list manager. Groups simply send an e-mail notification to the list manager with a descriptive write-up and it will be sent. If there are multiple notifications that need to go out, they may be grouped together to reduce the number of e-mails that are sent to the list.

If at anytime, you would like to be removed from this e-mail list or if you are a new organization that would like to join, please e-mail the list manager and your request will be acted upon in a timely manner.

As always, thank-you for supporting the performing arts in the North Texas area!

Regards,

David Witherspoon List Manager [email protected]
