I­ MORPHETT STREET ft:, V) 5 Morphett Street, Kernott House L. Thi s is a rare example of the 'Arte Moderne' building popular in Europe in the 1930s and 40s. Built in early 1950s by Don and Elsie Kernott.

5-7 Pridmore Terrace, Ramsay's Cottage L. 6 James G Ramsay set up a large foundry on this site from 1856 to 1892. The business was very successfu l and he became a local MP. Was Minister for Rai lways and ensured that the Railway passed through the town. Bu ilt Eden Park in Wistow.

6 Pridmore Terrace, former Globe Hotel L. This building was erected c1860 by George Uphill, a local trooper as a coaching hotel. The road was then the main entrance into the town.
