The Assistant Engineer, Electrical Section, KSEB Ltd., Peringathur, Kannur District. ORDER Case of the Petitioner:- The petitioner comes under the jurisdiction of Electrical Section Peringathur. The consumer number of the complainant is 1168173008497. The complaint is regarding the non replacement of faulty meter and issue of exorbitant bill on the basis of average consumption. It is stated that his connection is disconnected due to the nonpayment of the average bill Rs.2000/- .The consumption recorded in the energy meter is ‘zero’. The petitioner approaches the Forum for intervention. Version by the Respondent:- The licensee states that, the domestic service connection having consumer no.1168173008497 is given to Sri. Kunhi Pokki, Chana poyil, Pullukkara. The connected load of the connection is 1960 watts. The energy meter of the consumer became faulty during the period from 27.09.16 to 03.10.2017. The system calculated bi-monthly average was 412 units and billed accordingly. The faulty meter of this consumer was replaced on 03.10.2017. Discussion, analysis and findings:- Hearing of the case was convened on 24/10/2017. The petitioner was not present in the hearing.
