Queer is Love Community College Student Conference Breakout Session Descriptions The Gender Sexuality Alliance Club at El Camino College provides an unbiased environment for students within the LGBTQIA+ community and their allies to collaborate and work together to help increase, improve, and promote acceptance and understanding of sexual diversity in our society By Us, For Us: LGBTQIA+ Student Experiences By El Camino College GSA Students An open forum on being LGBTQIA+, led by El Camino GSA student leaders. During this workshop, students will have an opportunity to share their stories and reflect on their experiences within the LGBTQIA+ community. The El Camino GSA will facilitate this forum by offering discussion questions and statements for reflection. All are welcome to join, but note: this discussion is by us, for us. The SMC Gender Sexuality Alliance (GSA) club is a non-profit club of open-minded queer and questioning LGBTQIA+ students, teachers and allies. We provide a safe space on campus once a week for people to unwind, participate in productive discussions surrounding issues affecting our communities and to learn how to engage in everyday activism. Ultimately, the SMC GSA is a place where we are allowed to commemorate our chosen families and remember our origins. We gather to celebrate in ways that we are not normally given the space to do so freely. Check Yourself: Assessing Allyship Towards LGBTQIA+ Students in the Classroom By Dr. Steph Anderson and Santa Monica College GSA Students This workshop will help faculty and students know what direct steps to take in order to create a more inclusive environment for queer students, especially in the classroom.

  • Total Compensation Systems, Inc
Total Compensation TCS Systems, Inc. April 22, 2020 Fernando Cubias Director of Budget & Finance Alvord Unified School District 9 KPC Parkway Corona, CA 92879-7102 Dear Fernando, This letter is our proposal for GASB 74/75 actuarial valuation services. GASB 74/75 dramatically change the way services are provided, resulting in changes to our contracting practices. As you know, GASB 75 requirements can be met every second year by using a streamlined “roll-forward” valuation (unless circumstances require a full valuation). It is only viable for a roll-forward valuation to be performed by the same actuary that performed the original full valuation. For this reason, we are including in this proposal a second year roll- forward valuation. Alvord Unified School District can elect not to proceed with the second year “roll-forward” or can choose to have a full valuation in the second year at the fee shown below for a full valuation. To confidently schedule existing clients, we are providing an incentive for clients who make a commitment in advance of the valuation date. To reserve a place in our schedule, please send the signed contract and non-refundable deposit of one-half of the full valuation fee by June 1, 2020. The deposit is non-refundable because of the preliminary work we do to streamline valuations, as well as to compensate for downtime of resources that could result from cancelled contracts. By reserving a spot, Alvord Unified School District not only guarantees a valuation slot, but is given priority over every client that didn’t reserve one.

  • LWHC Once Upon Laguna Woods
Once Upon Laguna Woods by Dean O. Dixon Once upon a time in a magical land there were fiery volcanos, roiling seas, and fearsome animals. Then came warriors, conquerors, banishment, empires, slaves, wars, pirates, corruption, bandits, posses, lynching, ghosts, invasion, exploitation, riches, scandal and, yes, even happily ever after. Fiction? No. These are true stories about the land right under your feet in and around Laguna Woods. So what did happen once upon Laguna Woods? Well, are you up for some time travel? The beloved natural vistas from Laguna Woods reflect decades of conservation efforts that preserved tens of thousands of pristine acres from any future human development. You get to enjoy this in perpetuity without it ever being disturbed. Woods End Wilderness Preserve, Laguna Coast Wilderness Park, Aliso & Wood Canyons Wilderness Park, Crystal Cove State Park, Laguna Niguel Regional Park, and City of Irvine Open Space Preserve are contiguous in a synergistic display of your natural history. But what exactly do you see? Once Upon Laguna Woods February 27, 2016 page !2 of !60 Natural erosion has exposed up to 65 million years of rock strata laid down and compressed one layer atop another by eons of changes in the earth’s crust as influenced by climate, flora and fauna. Sand from deserts and beaches, mud from swamps and rivers, skeletons of sea and land creatures, recurrences of these, and still more are solidified and revealed like layers in a slice of cake for the delight of geologists and further study by anyone so inclined. Related tectonics further changed and are changing your area even today as the Atlantic Plate pushes the North American Plate westward into the Pacific Plate along that constant worry of yours, the San Andreas Fault.

Data used to prepare this section were taken from the Orange County General Plan, the City of Lake Forest General Plan, Lake Forest Municipal Code, field observations, and other sources, referenced within this section, for background information. Full bibliographic references are noted in Section 3.4.12 (References). No comments with respect to biological resources were received during the NOP comment period.
