PULLMAN, Wash.—In a driving snowstorm, John White rushed for 186 yards and two touchdowns, Mo Lee intercepted two passes, including one in overtime, and Coleman Petersen kicked the game-winning field goal from 38 yards out to lead Utah past Washington State in overtime, 30-27. The Utes appeared to have the game in hand late in the fourth quarter when White’s 56-yard touchdown run gave them a 27-17 lead. But WSU countered with a touchdown and a field goal in the last three minutes to send the game into overtime. Neither team scored until late in the first half, with Utah striking first when punter Sean Sellwood threw a 49-yard pass to Luke Matthews with 1:47 left in the second period. The Cougars tied the game at 7-7 on a touchdown just 33 seconds before the intermission.
