Oregon Open Jiu Jitsu Championship – September 12, 2015 Alphabetical Competitor List – Please check your information carefully All corrections to Name, Team Name, Belt/Skill Level, and Weight Division must be made online before 8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 8, 2015. See page 1 for instructions on updating your information. IMPORTANT REMINDER: Making Weight The weight division shows the MAXIMUM weight competitor can be with uniform on. • Double check weight now with gi and/or no-gi uniform on. If in doubt, go with the higher weight. • For safety and fairness, weight division guidelines are strictly enforced, with NO exceptions. • Competitors who do not make weight will be DISQUALIFIED and will NOT compete. Disqualification is non-refundable. • You will be DISQUALIFIED if you weigh MORE than the maximum weight listed for your division. It is okay to weigh less than your weight division. • Official weigh-ins will occur in the bullpen just before the athlete competes. Competitors will have only one opportunity to make weight. • All gi and no-gi competitors will wear their full competition uniform during weigh in. • No changes will be accepted after 8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 8. Youth & Junior Competitors: Update “Actual Weight” Parents: When you registered your child, you entered their “actual weight”. This information is very important, as whenever possible, we try to keep our youngest competitors in groups within two years and 10 pounds of each other. He has studied with 40 different teachers over his 30 years of training including Rick Faye, Greg Nelson, Yorinaga Nakamura, Larry Hartsell, Tim Tackett, Ajarn Chai Sirisute, Nic Saignac, Rigan Machado, Rico Chipparelli, and the legendary Dan Inosanto, who claims Erik is one of the world's most dynamic grapplers. He currently runs the CSW Training Center in Fullerton, California where he trains MMA fighters such as Josh Barnett, Ken Shamrock, Renato Sobral, Cub Swanson, Ben Jones and Ginelle Marquez. He is closely affiliated with Sean Sherk and Brock Lesnar of the Minnesota Martial Arts Academy. Erik holds the rank of Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu from Rigan Machado. He also trained extensively with Rorion, Royce, and Rickson Gracie. Erik is the founder of Combat Submission Wrestling, and STX Kickboxing.
