The goal of the directory is to introduce our Chamber Membership to all of the resources available through the vast and diverse network in the Mattoon business and professional community. The Mattoon Chamber of Commerce has been serving the community and our Membership for 115 years. Our focus and our mission have never wavered. We will continue to serve as a leading force in economic community development while fulfilling the role of advocate for Mattoon’s business community. We are now, as we were in the beginning, a vehicle through which business and professional people work together for the common good of this wonder- ful community. We always serve our members; we promote an environment where member businesses can grow and prosper and ultimately enhance the quality of life in Mattoon.

We started out as a simple railroad town back in 1855 and have grown, prospered and transformed throughout the years. Our ability to mix tradition while embracing change makes our local economy successful. Whether it is in the workplace, through volunteerism or at social gatherings, members of our community participate with enthusiasm and a sense of pride.
