Celebrate the Holidays with Storytellers & Author Last Days to See “Beyond the Presidency”

Atlanta, GA.- Don’t miss seeing “Beyond the Presidency: 25 Years of the Carter Center.” This fascinating look at the work President and Mrs. Carter have done through the Carter Center ends Sunday, November 25th. Friday, November 23rd is the perfect time to see not only the “Beyond the Presidency” exhibit, but also to hear members of the Southern Order of Storytellers recount “A Fork in the Road-Choices in History.” Their tales about “Abe Lincoln and the Gettysburg Address”, “How Georgia Became British, not Spanish,” “Elizabeth Cady Staunton,” “, African American Surgeon,” and a story about slavery will be treat for the whole family. The storytellers will be in the Carter Museum theater at 2 p.m. on Friday, November 23rd. Their presentation is free with paid admission to the museum. On Monday, November 26th, USA TODAY and political commentator Cal Thomas will discuss his new book “Common Ground: How to Stop the Partisan War that is Destroying America.” The book, written with liberal commentator , is a fascinating bi-partisan view of how to overcome Washington’s political gridlock. Thomas’ lecture and book signing is free and open to the public. The lecture begins at 7 pm in the Carter Library theater; doors open at 6:30 p.m. Copies of “Common Ground” will be for sale at the event. No reservations are needed.
