The main goal of the project is to promote local economic development by supporting the SME sector and promoting direct investment in the local economy. The duration of the project is 18 months. Expected results: Elaboration of the mapping report of the consultancy and support service providers in South DR business development: •Contact Database - Suppliers Register; •Preparation of the package of advisory services packages and training modules; •At last 48 people (consultants and trainers) from these 24 providers will be selected and trained; •The Strategy for setting up and supporting RROCA prepared and implemented; Established regional network and unit of coordination; •The informative and promotional caravan will include the 8 districts, including rural localities. 4 Pre-incubation spaces organized and arranged within the existing 4 IA, with the necessary facilities •Modern tools and training and promotion materials; •Preparation and implementation of the registered/selected SME advisory and training program; Factsheet generated:25.09.2021 Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org).

    For economic or political reasons, journalism in Moldova is strongly marked by self-censorship and partisanship. A significant part of the population, especially those living in the villages, does not have access to a variety of information sources due to poverty. Profitable media still represent an exception rather than the rule. Although the Republic of Moldova has not managed to fulfill all of the EU-Moldova Action Plan commitments (which expired in February 2008), especially those concerning the independence of both the oldo Pmass media and judiciary, the Communist government has been trying to begin negotiations over a new agreement with the EU. This final agreement should lead to the establishment of more advanced relations compared to the current status of being simply an EU neighbor. On the other hand, steps have been taken to establish closer relations with Russia, which sought to improve its global image in the wake of its war with Georgia by addressing the Transnistria issue. Moldovan V authorities hoped that new Russian president Dmitri Medvedev would exert pressure upon Transnistria’s separatist leaders to accept the settlement project proposed by Chişinău. If this would have occurred, A the future parliamentary elections would have taken place throughout the entire territory of Moldova, including Transnistria. But this did not happen: Russia suggested that Moldova reconsider the settlement plan proposed in 2003 by Moscow, which stipulated, among other things, continuing deployment of Russian troops in Moldova in spite of commitments to withdraw them made at the 1999 OSCE summit.

    Republic of Moldova SOCIAL HOUSING PROJECT FEASIBILITY STUDY February 2011 DRAFT Council of Europe Bank Social Housing Project Feasibility Study Introduction This report has been prepared to assess the feasibility and the social and technical relevance of a social housing project submitted by the Government of Moldova to the CEB for financing support. The project is proposed by the Ministry of construction and regional development (MoCRD), it would deliver a total of 1347 housing units according to three different financing schemes; its total value is of 43 MEuros (approximately 694,88MMDL). If approved, it will be the second phase following an on-going CEB supported project for 227 housing units with a loan of 4,9 Meuros (F/P 1569). New figures have been communicated in the course of the preparation of this report; the total project value is estimated at 65.4 MEuros for component one and two and the amount requested from the CEB at 42, 5 Meuros, to which 11,3 Meuros should be added for component three. The project described in this report has been prepared by the PIU created within the Directorate general for architecture, housing and construction for the management of the on-going first CEB project. The Directorate is part of the Ministry of construction and regional development (MoCRD). MoCRD is the beneficiary of the project with the Ministry of Finance being the borrower. For the purpose of understanding the context in which this project would be implemented, the consultant met with a number of key local actors, including representatives of the Ministry of Finance, State Treasury and National Bank as well as of three private banks and of all participating local authorities: Ialoveni, Calarasi, Glodeni, Singerei, Briceni, Basarabeasca, Ceadir-Lunga and Anenii Noi were visited as well as sites in Chisinau, Hristo Botev Street, Alba Iulia Street, Hincesti Street and Grenoble Street.

    8/30/12 Bessarabia Business Directory of 1924 This database contains records of grocers, teachers, local officials, stone carvers, butchers, bakers, innkeepers, lawyers, peddlers, rabbis, and many others who worked in the early 1920s in Romania's eastern counties, formerly in Bessarabia, and who apparently were Jewish. The information was published in the "Socec" Annuary of the Great-Roumania, dated 1924-1925, by the prominent Romanian publishing house Socec & Co. The largest representation of female candidates was in the local administration of the Southern Zone - 25%, and in Cimislia District of the zone it was 42%. However, only 7 out of 53 female candidates were elected in the region. Female candidates are mostly successful in elections of District, Rural and Municipal Councillors: up to 40% were elected in some regions. However, in some administrative areas there are less than 20% of female councillors. Only 3 women were elected District Chairpersons - one in each of three regions: North, Centre and South, which is only 8.8% of total number of Chairpersons. Population Size and Structure About 30% of the population live both in the Northern and Central Zones, over 15% live in the Southern Zone and the population of Gagauzia is about 5% of the total population of the country. Residents of Chișinău Municipality comprise about a fifth of the total population of the country. Steady depopulation trends prevail in three regions: Centre, South and especially North. 51.9% of the total population are women and 48.1% are men.

Abstract. Although it is considered that the socio-economic impact over the last decades on surface water quality is significant, the role of changing regional climate that is manifested by the intensification of desertification process is crucial. In this context, it is important to know the current trends of change in total runoff of surface of surface waters in the context of increase of desertification degree of the regional climate attested in recent years. Introduction Water resources and their quality are in continuous decrease, and these aspects constitute a severe constraining factor for both our country and on the international level, especially if we take into account the increase of aridity due to global warming, forecasted by certain scenarios and climatic models (Albu, 2009, Nedealcov, 2012, Anuar, 2015, 2016, Bejan et al, 2017). These scenarios estimate that droughts would persist in the regions with critical climate in Europe, especially in Southern Europe, as well as in Northern America, and the above-mentioned regions would suffer from severe droughts, heat spells, water deficiency and decrease in agricultural production. Another scenarios evaluate the impact of global climatic changes in Republic of Moldova, demonstrating that the drought would be more pronounced during the vegetation period in southern and south-eastern part of the country (Nedealcov, 2012), which does not come into contradiction with the estimations conducted for the southern regions in Europe (Marinov, 1964, Madjar et al, 1995).
