The Diary of a Hounslow Girl by Ambreen Razia CALL OUT FOR TOUR STAGE MANAGER OUTLINE: • Tour Stage Manager for The Diary of a Hounslow Girl 2016 Black Theatre Live Tour: 7 week tour plus some rehearsals, meets and production week • Reporting to: Producer Maeve O’Neill and Artist Ambreen Razia • Rehearsal locations: Ovalhouse, 52-54 Kennington Oval, London SE11 5SW • Performance Location: As per tour schedule, below DESCRIPTION: • 9 week contract: Must be available for 4 production meets, rehearsal time to be mutually agreed, the technical week and all tour dates • Responsible for transporting the set and leading the get-in and tech at each tour venue. Operating sound and light for the show at each venue. • Managing tour schedule including post-show discussions and press schedule in close liaison and consultation with the Producer, Maeve O'Neill and the Artist, Ambreen Razia • Must have a clean drivers licence with experience of driving a tour van and managing small scale tours PROJECT OVERVIEW: The Diary of a Hounslow Girl Written & Performed by Ambreen Razia Directed by Sophie Moniram Set Design by Petra Hjortsbery Lighting Design by Paul O'Shaughnessy The Diary of a Hounslow Girl is told through the eyes of a 16 year old British Muslim Girl growing up in West London. From traditional Pakistani weddings to fights on the night bus this is a funny, bold, provocative play highlighting the challenges of being brought up as a young woman in a traditional Muslim family alongside the temptations and influences growing up in and around London. Hounslow Girl Tour Stage Manager Brief 1 A story of dreams, aspirations and coming of age. The piece is a one-woman show, running time 60 minutes. Originally commissioned by Ovalhouse, this tour is produced by Black Theatre Live. Travel and accommodation for the tour dates will be booked in advance and covered by the project.
