Annual Review on the working of Forest Divisions in the State of Maharashtra for the year 2019-20. 1. Organizational set-up of Forest Department:- The entire working of the Forest Department falls under the administrative purview of the Revenue and Forest Department. The territorial jurisdiction of Forest Area is divided into circles and each circle is further divided into several divisions. The Head of Forest Force is Principal Chief Conservator of Forest, Nagpur who controls 27 circle offices, and 133 forest divisions. The Head of Social Forestry is Principal Chief Conservator of Forest, Social Forestry, Maharashtra who controls 07 circle offices and 40 Social Forestry Divisions. The name of offices, circles and divisions are listed in Annexure ‘A’. 2. Submission of Accounts:- As per para 2.11 of Manual of Forest Accounts, due date for submission of Monthly Accounts is fixed as 10th of succeeding month for all the Drawing and Disbursement Officers of Forest Department (Forest Divisions). However, the same has been advanced to 8th of the succeeding month to which the transactions relate, vide this office letter no. DO/FA/c- I/Closing of Monthly Account/322 dated 11th February, 2016. 1 It was noticed that out of 173 divisions, 121 divisions (70%) did not observe the due date for submission of Monthly Accounts (submission delayed by 5 days and more). The list of the divisions which did not adhere to the timeline for submission of monthly accounts is given in Annexure ‘B’. Necessary instructions in this regard need to be issued at higher level to ensure timely submission of monthly accounts to this office. -

Page 1 Detailed Project Report – 3rd & 4th Lines between Pune-Lonavala section (63. 84 Km) of Central Railway 1. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Brief History: rd th PECT Survey for 3 & 4 Line between Pune-Lonavala was sanctioned in 1997 – 98 and report was submitted to Railway Board in 2001 at a total cost of Rs.322.44 cr. Further, RECT survey for only 3rd line was sanctioned by Railway Board in 2011-12 and the Survey Report was under scrutiny at HQ. The work for Third B. G. Line between Pune -Lonavala was sanctioned by Railway Board vide Pink Book Item no. 22 of Demand No. 16 under Doubling for the year 2015-16 at the cost of Rs. 800 crores. Detailed Project Report with feasibility study and detailed construction estimate for proposed third B.G. line was prepared by Central Railway at a total cost of Rs. 943.60 Crore. It was sanctioned by Railway Board vide letter No. 2015/W1/NER/DL/BSB-MBS-ALD dated 31.03.2016 under Gross Budgetary support. The work has been assigned to Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation Ltd (MRVC) vide Railway Board‟s letter No. 2015/W-1/Genl/Presentation/Pt dated 11.12.205. Hon‟ble Chief Minister of Government of Maharashtra vide his D.O. letter No. MRD-3315/CR44/UD-7 dated 23.02.2016 addressed to Hon‟ble Minister of Railways had requested for sanction of 3rd and 4th line between Pune – Lonavala to run suburban and main line train services. -

All types of education are available here such as engineering , Medical, arcthitecture, Dental etc run under under state government , central government and private sectors. 4.2 Status of Medical College Libraries in Maharashtra: The medical colleges are developed under medical council of India, Delhi. The Medical Council of India upgrades and evalutes all the colleges and gives as to sugestion how to improvement teaching staff ,varies infrastucture , facilites and so on.There are six division in Maharashtra such as Amravati, Aurangabad, Konkan, Nagpur , Nashik and Pune. The 42 medical colleges and libraries are situated in this region. Larger no of medical colleges libraries are in Pune, Mumbai and Nagpur . 17 medical college are under the state Government, 2 medical colleges and libraries are under the Municipal Corporation and only o1 medical college is under the central Government. -

These success stories are the testimonies of Maharashtra’s strength that has made it the guiding spirit for others.
