Add suspense to your story to make it more interesting. 1. What does your character discover? What is the mystery? What is your character feeling and thinking about what has happened? Why does your character want/need to solve the mystery? 2. Does your character have a plan to solve the mystery? Will he or she be working alone or with a friend or 'sidekick'? If you introduce a new character, be sure to describe him or her. 3. Describe a clue your character finds. Is there more than one clue? Add suspense to your story by causing a roadblock or some type of trouble for you character. Think about other stories you are familiar with and how the characters have some type of setback before they reach the solution to the mystery. (If you need an example, just watch any episode of Scooby Doo!) © Learning Table www.mylearningtable.com ACTIVITIES FOR KID DETECTIVES MYLEARNINGTABLE.COM © Learning Table www.mylearningtable.com.
