WEST DISTRICT COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS) (BEECH HILL, , PURLEY ON , , , AND ) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING AND WAITING) ORDER 2018 District Council has made an Order in accordance with Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in any direction over the roads specified in the schedule to this order for the lengths indicated. The reason for the closures is the Councils 2018/19 programme of Highway resurfacing and improvement works, to take place over the next eighteen months. To facilitate the works no waiting will be allowed on the roads to be closed or their diversion routes from 00:01 hours on the date of any works until their conclusion. Dates, times and diversion routes for the various closures will be advertised locally and on site when details of the programme are fi nalised. The proposed Order will come into effect on 12th February 2018. The Order shall remain in force for a period of Eighteen months, or until the works are complete, whichever is the soonest. The Order shall not take effect until signs in accordance with The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016 have been erected. The Order was made on 5th February 2018.
