The Greyhounds opened the season with a pair of convincing wins over Mount St. Mary’s and Rutgers, topping those two opponents by a combined score of 6-1. In their most recent con- test on Aug. 31, Loyola fell victim to nationally ranked Villanova, 1-0, on the road in overtime. • Tuesday will mark the second time in as many weeks that the Johnnies have welcomed a MAC Her- mann Trophy Preseason Watch List selection to Belson Stadium, as junior forward Brian Saramango was one of 32 Division I men’s soccer players to garner the accolade. A two-time First Team All-Pa- triot League selection, Saramango scored eight goals, all of which came in conference play, during an injury-shortened campaign last year. This year, the New Hyde Park native has three goals in as many games for the Greyhounds to go along with a pair of assists. 2018 ST. JOHN’S RED STORM (Numerical Roster) No. Name Pos. Ht. Wt.
