1 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited’s Vision is to be world-class company known for caring and delighting customers with quality products and innovative services. The Corporation will be a model of excellence in meeting environmental, health and safety norms. In order to realize this Vision, Corporation will be focusing on enhancement of productivity, quality and caring for environmental protection. HPCL has two port based refineries at Mumbai and Visakhapatnam. Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) is having a LPG Bottling plant at Opp Bangalore Hassan National Highway, Yediyur - 572142, Karnataka and is located approximately 1.5 kms from the city of Yediyur. The Bottling Plant caters to the Domestic, Commercial and Industrial LPG Needs of nearby district. The present capacity of the plant is 3 X 700 (2100 MT), with mounded storage facility. The raw material is supplying thru HPCL pipeline (Mangalore Hassan Bangalore Pipeline). The additionally 3 X 700 (2100 MT). Then the total capacity of plant 4200 MT. From the point of view of having adequate supplies of LPG in the market and for making storage operations safer and eliminating all the environmental aspects, it is proposed to undertake the project inside the existing premises as cited above. The project is targeted to be mechanically completed within 28 months from the date of handing over the land or statutory MOEF approval. 1.1 Industrial Area (processing area) The plant area is approximate 75 Acres. No extra land will required for the project. 1.2 Residential Area (non-processing area) Construction area being located in notified industrial growth centre. So, no residential area permitted. 1.3 Green belt Approximate 75000 M2 (18.5 Acres), 33 % of the greenbelt will be developed. 1.4 Drinking water management (source & supply of water) Existing drinking water management system is sufficient for proposed project. No additional facility will be required. Water demand full fill by exiting borewell. 1.5 Sewage system Existing 3.5 KL STP already install also sufficient for proposed project. No additional facility will be required. 1.6 Industrial waste management No cylinder bottling will be increase capacity in this project only storage will increase. No hazardous waste generation is envisaged due to operation of proposed mounded storage vessel. The generation of hazardous waste in form of Lube Oil from other existing allied facilities viz. 200 litre/year, Oil Soaked cotton waste 360 Kg/Annum, Discarded container 20mo’s/Annum and paint sludge 2400 Kg/Amnnum. 10 KLD capacities ETP already installed at project site. 1.7 Power requirement & supply/ source Power will be sourced from Karnataka Sate Electricity Distribution Company Ltd.
