River States Conference Constitution & Bylaws River States Conference Constitution & Bylaws Article I – Name Effective July 1, 2016, the name of the organization shall be the River States Conference (formerly the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference). The River States Conference (hereafter, the Conference) is affiliated with the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). The Conference is a tax-exempt corporation under Internal Revenue Service Code 501(c) (3). Article II – Purpose The purpose of this Conference is to support and promote the educational and athletic activities of its member institutions in an equal manner; while advancing the highest ethical standards of character, conduct, sportsmanship and fair play. Article III – Values The Conference recognizes the value of athletic competition in developing character and life skills and promotes the following NAIA five core values on the field of play, on our campuses, and in our communities: 1. Respect 2. Responsibility 3. Integrity 4. Servant leadership 5. Sportsmanship Article IV – Membership Current members as of July 1, 2017: 1. Alice Lloyd College – Pippa Passes, KY 2. Asbury University – Wilmore, KY 3. Brescia University – Owensboro, KY 4. Carlow University – Pittsburgh, PA 5. Cincinnati Christian University – Cincinnati, OH 6. Indiana University East – Richmond, IN 7. Indiana University Kokomo – Kokomo, IN 8. Indiana University Southeast – New Albany, IN 9. Midway University – Midway, KY 10. Ohio Christian University – Circleville, OH 11. Point Park University – Pittsburgh, PA 12. University of Rio Grande – Rio Grande, OH 13.
