Its molecular formula is C7H8O6, with the chemical name (2E)-but-2-ene-1,2,4-tricarboxylic acid. Through HPLC-DAD and HPLC-MS analysis studies, it has concluded that Pinelliae rhizoma does not contain triglochinic acid, while Pinelliae pedatisectae rhizoma Received 4th March 2019 does. Abstract Hebei blowing song is one aspect of the development process of drum and wind music, it is the main performance form which takes wind instruments and percussion instruments in traditional music since the Han, Wei and Six Dynasties. There is a long history and deep cultural heritages in Hebei blowing songs, however, with the development of society in recent years, many factors have made the inheritance and development of folk musical instruments such as Suona and wind music particularly slow. The tunes of Hebei blowing songs are sometimes rough and bold, sometimes euphemistic and delicate, and are loved by the people of Hebei Province, "Little Donkey" is the most representative work, and pipe and suona are the most important accompaniment instruments in Hebei blowing songs, and other accompaniment instruments form "one head and one harmony" with them. Understanding the characteristics, types, and patterns of urban interaction is of critical importance in regulating the land market and promoting coordinated regional development. In this study, we integrated a gravity model with an improved Voronoi diagram model to investigate the gravitational characteristics, types of action, gravitational patterns, and problems of land market development in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration region based on social, economic, transportation, and comprehensive land-price data from 2017. The results showed that the gravitational value of land prices for Beijing, Tianjin, Langfang, and Tangshan cities (11.24–63.35) is significantly higher than that for other cities (0–6.09). The gravitational structures are closely connected for cities around Beijing and Tianjin, but loosely connected for peripheral cities.

    CHINESE MEDICINE or some time now, there has been F a growing need for high-level HKU Offers education and professional training in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and its related subjects. The Division of Traditional Chinese Medicine at the Tertiary Courses in Hong Kong University (HKU) was established for this purpose. The division has developed courses in TCM and acupuncture conducted as part-time certificate programs at HKU since 1991. HKU offers a wide range of Traditional courses in the following areas: • Traditional Chinese Medicine, • Acupuncture, • Chinese medicine pharmaceutics, • TCM and acupuncture for Western Chinese medical practitioners, • International acupuncture training programs, and • CDP courses for TCM practitioners, Medicine acupuncturists and bonesetters. Courses in TCM Courses in this area include a four-year Diploma in TCM that began admitting students in September 1997. Appro- priate exemptions are granted for students who have undertaken studies with SPACE in the various certificate courses in TCM subjects. Urbanization is one of main reasons for world progress and development. In order to understand the urban population size of Hebei as well as land scale development law and status, this paper analyzes the coordinated relationship between urban population and land to guide the future urban development. The time span in this paper is 13 years from 2000 to 2012 and the allometic growth and urban land expansion parameters are adopted to analyze their relationship from the levels of time and space. The results show that Hebei urban system is not perfect and the urban size is small. From vertical perspective, the allometric relationship of the whole province was gradually significant from 2006, and the growth rate of built-up area was significantly higher than that of urban population. From horizontal perspective, the land expansion coefficients of most cities were higher than the reasonable value, the urban population density was low, and land use efficiency had yet to be improved. Data 18 throughout the NCP during the past 30 years were examined to determine the horizontal 19 distribution and decadal trends of low visibility, haze and fog events. The impact of 20 meteorological factors such as wind and RH on those events was investigated. Results reveal 21 distinct distributions of haze and fog days, due to their different formation mechanisms. Low 22 visibility, haze and fog days all display increasing trends of before 1995, a steady stage during 23 1995~2003 and a drastically drop thereafter. All three events occurred most frequently during 24 the heating season. Benefiting from emission control measures, haze and fog both show 25 decreasing trends in winter during the past 3 decades, while summertime haze displays 26 continuous increasing trends.

Canary Chair of the Supervisory Committee: Professor Patricia B. Ebrey History This dissertation uses the Northern Song state’s response to mutinies as a prism through which to view different aspects of the government’s response to crisis. To this end, I focus on the suppression of five mutinies in the first half of the eleventh century, a time when the Song government was stable and the army posed little threat to the central government. I look closely at how officials and the emperor understood mutinies and the proposals officials made to suppress them in order to learn more about the nature of Song governance. Through an investigation of the individuals sent to direct and oversee campaigns against the mutineers, I show the qualities the court sought in men sent to put down unrest. In addition, I seek to understand how the physical and human geographies of the regions where mutinies broke out shaped the government’s actions. When sizing up the resources of the Song state and the mutineers, both in terms of people and wealth, it is clear that the Song held an overwhelming advantage. However, the mutineers often took steps which challenged the Song’s legitimacy, forcing the dynasty to react in kind by denouncing them.
