❖ Teaching and learning • Teaching is planned as unit plan and lesson plan. Where the unit will be started with an objective. • ICT enabled teaching and learning is adopted through e-class rooms, digital library. • Student’s centric programs like certificate courses, add on courses, soft skills training, training on corporate etiquettes, in-house seminars, group discussions, etc for effective teaching and learning. • Staff and students are encouraged to organize and participate in seminars, conferences, workshops and training programs to upgrade their competency level and to equip them with emerging issues. • To bridge gap between theory and practice, students are encouraged to rake up Industry visits and internships. • Experts from esteemed academic institutions and industries are invited to enhance their practical knowledge.

• Library includes: systems, printers, barcode, scanner, audio recorders and e-learning facilitators. ❖ Human resource management:

• As a part of staff development, institution conducts Faculty Development Program. • We follow very transparent and roster system of recruitment, selection and induction. • Heads of the department submits proposal based on workload for recruitment of faculty • Advertisement of posts to be recruited is given in the news papers. • Scrutiny of received applications, demo classes, personal interview and short listing of eligible candidates. • Based on the performance in demo class, personal interview, student’s feedback, a successful candidate will get appointed. • Performance evaluation of faculty is done periodically by HODs and principal. • Another great practice is Staff council for addressing employees’ grievance.

❖ Industry interaction/collaboration:

• The placement cell is liaises within the industry interaction. • Students are taken to industrial visit, internship and industrial experts are invited to share their thoughts. • Placement officer arranges for recruitment oriented training sessions by HR experts from different industries. Where students get trained on interview skills, written tests, group discussion, soft skills etc..

6.4 Welfare schemes for:

Teachers:

The following schemes are available in the institution for the welfare of the staff:

❖ Employee provident fund (EPF):

As per government rules 12% of basic pay is credited to employees PF account by SET and the equal amount is contributed by the employee. 8.33% of SET contribution of PF goes to PF pension scheme and remaining in employees PF account. All eligible teaching members have availed benefit of the scheme.
