Saturday - Morning At Leisure Salamanca Market & Mawson’s Huts Replica Museum

Enjoy the sights, sounds, flavours, action and colour of 's best outdoor market - proudly operated by the City of Hobart - every Saturday from 8:30am to 3:00pm at Hobart's Salamanca Place. Set between graceful plane trees and the mellow sandstone facades of historic warehouses, Hobart's famous market at Salamanca Place attracts thousands of locals and visitors, every Saturday of the year.

The Mawson’s Huts Replica Museum is Hobart’s newest tourist attraction. Situated on, the city’s beautiful waterfront it is just 50 metres from Constitution Dock and opposite Mawson’s Place.

Tuesday Unzoo & Port Arthur ** Tour 1: Unzoo (Tasmanian Devil Conservation Park) & Port Arthur Departs: 9.15 am Returns: 5.00pm Adult: $150.00 ( Child: $75.00) Unzoo is a new concept for presenting Tasmanian devils includes an inside-out, un-zoo display where visitors are locked-up inside the old enclosure and the animals run freely on the outside. There is also a face-to-face devil dome where visitors can get nose-to-nose with devils, and a farmyard display that demonstrates that devils and human activity can happily exist side-by-side. The park has a lot more to offer than just Tasmanian devils.

Port Arthur Historic Site is a compelling and dramatic reminder of our convict past and the early settlement of Tasmania. Interpretive and interactive presentations bring to life the harrowing life of convicts 200 years ago.

Heading south east from Hobart enjoy the changing scenery passing Pirates Bay, Eaglehawk Neck and . Stop to take in the dramatic sights of Tasman's Arch and the Devil's Kitchen, stunning natural rock features. On arrival at Port Arthur enjoy an introductory 40 minute guided walking tour to familiarise yourself with this expansive site before exploring at leisure.

Enjoy a short harbour cruise passing the Isle of the Dead and get a feel for what it was like to arrive by boat at this desolate location.

Cruise Tasmania's rugged coastline, rich with wildlife before arriving in the historic site of Port Arthur where you will step back in time and learn about life on the island as a convict

Take a multi-award winning coastal wilderness cruise along the spectacular coastline between Eaglehawk Neck and Port Arthur. Join the search for the wildlife that is abundant in the area, such as seals, dolphins, migrating whales and bird life. Note: Depending the weather conditions, cruise may depart from Port Arthur to Eaglehawk Neck where the coach will pick up passengers and then drive back down to Port Arthur. Lunch would then be at either Eaglehawk Neck or Port Arthur.

After the 3 hour long cruise, arrive in Port Arthur where you will receive a guided tour of this amazing historical site dating back from the start of Australia's European settlement.

Travel south to the Huon Valley stop at The Apple Shed for a peek at the history of the Apple industry in Tasmania in the rustic surrounds of an original apple shed built in 1942, learn about the Huon's fascinating apple heritage told through the eyes of Willie Smith.

A range of delicious ciders is available at cellar door and the café serves a simple menu of the finest regional products if you would like a morning tea. ( own cost) A small providore will enable local producers an outlet in the Huon Valley where they can showcase their products and produce to visitors to the State. ( own cost)

After this visit travel a short distance to one of the Huon Valley’s best known vineyards Home Hill for a wine tasting after which we travel onto the quaint country town of Cygnet – if you didn’t take morning tea at The Apple Shed you could purchase something here in Cygnet then through to Woodbridge and Peppermint Bay where you can enjoy lunch at this lovely venue overlooking North West Bay and Great Bay looking towards Bruny Island.

After lunch take a tour of Grandvewe Cheese factory including a tasting of their award winning cheeses.

Enjoy the scenery as you head back towards Hobart to your accommodation.
