STATUTORY INSTRUMENTS. S.I. No. 458 of 2010 ———————— DISTRICT COURT DISTRICTS AND AREAS (AMENDMENT) AND VARIATION OF DAYS AND HOURS (CASTLEBLAYNEY, CARRICKMACROSS, KILDARE AND NAAS) ORDER, 2010. (Prn. A10/1412) 2 [458] S.I. No. 458 of 2010 DISTRICT COURT DISTRICTS AND AREAS (AMENDMENT) AND VARIATION OF DAYS AND HOURS (CASTLEBLAYNEY, CARRICKMACROSS, KILDARE AND NAAS) ORDER, 2010. The Courts Service, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 26 of the Courts of Justice Act, 1953 (No. 32 of 1953), as amended by section 43 of the Courts (Supplemental Provisions) Act, 1961 (No. 39 of 1961), section 16 of the Courts Act, 1971 (No. 36 of 1971) and section 29 of the Courts Service Act, 1998 (No. 8 of 1998) and after consultation with the President of the District Court, hereby orders as follows: 1. (a) This Order may be cited as the District Court Districts and Areas (Amendment) and Variation of Days and Hours (Castleblayney, Carrickmacross, Kildare and Naas) Order, 2010. (b) This Order shall come into operation on 1st October, 2010. 2. The First Schedule to the District Court (Areas) Order, 1961 (S.I. No. 5 of 1961), is hereby amended by— (a) The deletion at reference 198 of the matter in columns (2), (3), (4) and (5) and (b) the substitution at reference number 197 for the matter in columns (4) and (5) of the following: “Carrickmacross — First, Second, Third and The area comprising— Fourth Wednesday in each month.     Lullymore Island Kildare Irish Peatland Conservation Council Map and Guide Comhairle Chaomhnaithe Phortaigh na hÉireann Island in the Bog Lullymore is a mineral soil island completely surrounded by the Bog of Allen in Co. Kildare. The Island is 93m above sea level and covers an area of 220ha. The population of Lullymore Island is around 150 people in 50 houses. Lullymore Island is located on the R414 between the towns of Rathangan and Allenwood in Co. Kildare. The process of reclaiming Lullymore Bog to farmland is underway along the north-west flank of the island. On all other sides the bog is being milled for peat and used to generate electricity. Lullymore bog with an area of 6,575ha was the largest bog in the complex of bogs known as the Bog of Allen and it gives its name to the Island of Lullymore. Lullymore Bog was first developed commercially by entrepreneurs in the 19th century and to this day it continues to provide milled peat which is burned to generate electricity in the Clonbollogue Power Station in Co.

    To the Lord Mayor and Report No. 249/2018 Members of Dublin City Council Report of the Transportation Strategic Policy Committee _________________________________________________________________________ With reference to proposal to adopt the Dublin City Council Special Speed Limit Bye- Laws 2018 _________________________________________________________________________ At its meeting of 12th September, 2018, the Transportation Strategic Policy Committee recommended the Dublin City Council Special Speed Limit Bye-Laws, 2018, to the City Council for adoption, following consideration of the report on the public consultation as set out hereunder. The Dublin City Council Special Speed Limit Bye-Laws 2018 for adoption are attached. Resolution: “That Dublin City Council notes the contents of Report No. 249/2018 and hereby resolves to adopt the Special Speed Limit Bye-Laws 2018 as outlined in the report”. Councillor Ciarán Cuffe Chairperson, 12th September, 2018 Report submitted to the Transportation Strategic Policy Committee meeting of 12th September, 2018 Introduction Dublin City Council has undertaken a review of speed limits within its administrative area and has engaged through consultation with members of the public, with particular regard to the extension of the 30 km/h speed limit into further residential areas of our city. The review of current speed limits is being undertaken in accordance with the publication of the ‘Guidelines for Setting & Managing Speed Limits in Ireland’ (March 2015) published by the Department of Transport Tourism and Sport. The principle objective of assessing the appropriate speed limits for our roads and streets is to ensure that the set speed limits are as safe and appropriate as possible for vulnerable road users, including children.
