The Federal Aviation Administration released the statement for California-based SpaceX on Thurs- day. Sterling case is a novel legal obstacle course - LA Times Page 1 of 5 Analysis Sterling case is a novel legal obstacle course SHOW CAPTION N 1 / 20 By JAMES RAINEY JULY 27, 2014, 7:10 PM t was Donald Sterling's last chance to present evidence that might persuade a judge he I should remain in control of the Clippers. And things didn't go so well. Sterling's lawyers brought forward a string of exhibits and, one by one, Judge Michael Levanas said he would not admit them. Each was superfluous, hearsay or burdened with some other flaw. Seven times last Wednesday, the L.A. County Superior Court judge repeated: "Not received." Much of the probate trial of Sterling vs. Sterling — which will conclude Monday with closing arguments — went that way. Lawyers for the billionaire real estate magnate frequently objected, but harmful testimony came in. They tried to bar other evidence — including the http://www.latimes.com/sports/la-sp-sterling-legal-analysis-20140728-story.html 7/31/2014 Sterling case is a novel legal obstacle course - LA Times Page 2 of 5 mental exams Sterling failed, costing him control of his NBA team — but the reports were allowed. They offered only two witnesses and one had so few credentials that courtroom observers shook their heads. The most memorable episode of the trial, Sterling's own testimony, devolved into a rant against the NBA, not a valedictory for his own leadership skills. And that was before the Clippers boss verbally assaulted his wife, Shelly, calling her a "pig" and a liar.

The imam was reportedly arrested along with an unspecified number of worshipers following a heated verbal exchange that happened during the Friday prayers. Some worshipers reportedly interrupted the imam’s sermon at the Khrainej Mosque when he criticized the presidential elections in his home country. Filed 11/16/15 CERTIFIED FOR PUBLICATION IN THE COURT OF APPEAL OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA SECOND APPELLATE DISTRICT DIVISION EIGHT ROCHELLE H. STERLING, as Trustee, B258151 etc., (Los Angeles County Plaintiff and Respondent, Super. Ct. No. BP152858) v. DONALD T. STERLING, Defendant and Appellant. APPEAL from an order of the Superior Court of Los Angeles County, Michael Levanas, Judge. Affirmed. Bobby Samini, Laura M. Baskurt and Matthew M. Hoesly for Defendant and Appellant. Greenberg Glusker Fields Claman & Machtinger, Pierce O’Donnell, Bertram Fields, Stephen S. Smith; Greines, Martin, Stein & Richland and Robert A. Olson for Plaintiff and Respondent. * * * * * * In this appeal, Donald T. Sterling (Donald) seeks to regain ownership of the Los Angeles Clippers (Clippers), a professional basketball team Steven Ballmer purchased on August 12, 2014. The evidence credited by the probate court overwhelmingly showed that Donald was properly removed as trustee of the Sterling Family Trust, which owned the Clippers.1 The credited evidence overwhelmingly supported the probate court’s conclusion that exigent circumstances warranted the sale of the Clippers to prevent extraordinary loss to the trust. The probate court’s sanctioning the sale was correct even though Donald, who initially agreed to the sale, purportedly revoked the trust in an effort to block the sale. On appeal, Donald fails to demonstrate any legal error and fails to consider the facts in accordance with the proper standards on appeal. We affirm the probate court’s order. FACTS AND PROCEDURE The National Basketball Association’s (NBA) April 2014 charge against Donald triggered Donald’s lifetime ban from the Clippers and prompted the sale of the team.
