The exhibition showcases the research of Professor Tim Birkhead (Animal & Plant Sciences) and Professor Emeritus Mark Greengrass (History) and presents rare books and original documents from the unique and distinctive collections held by the Universities of Sheffield and Nottingham alongside natural history Assoc. Artists Ligeti Quartet Mary Bevan specimens from the Alfred Denny Museum. Visitors will be able to discover the wide-ranging interests of Francis Willughby and his contemporaries in this age of scientific revolution, follow his travels in Europe with John Ray, enjoy the dramatic colours and sounds of some of the creatures he studied, and learn about his research into language, mathematics and games.
