Corbett graduated Cum Laude from Texas A&M with a bachelor’s degree in secondary education in 1991. Four years later, he earned his master’s degree in business administration from A&M.

Corbett began his five-year coaching career at A&M Consolidated High School in 1995. During that time, he also was an instructor at Texas A&M’s baseball camps.

He also has served as the NCAA Regional Baseball Tournament field coordinator for the 1993, ’98 and ’99 Regional and Super Regional games played in College Station.

Corbett and his wife, Julie, have a son, Mason.

Following his collegiate career, he was drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the 13th round of the 1992 Major League Baseball Draft. Marshall went on to play four seasons in the Royals organization before finishing his professional career in 1995.
