When should I apply for discretionary transport?

Post 16 applications need to be submitted by the end of May. Please do not wait until you have received your GCSE results before you submit your application; you can always change your mind later. Suffolk County Council (SCC) will consider all applications made after the closing date as late and cannot guarantee a response by the start of the academic year.

The SCC team will assess all applications, received before the May closing date, and will write to you during July/August to let you know the outcome of your application.
