Benefits unilaterally introduced by an employer are generally included. The information is largely obtained from collective bargaining agreements and related documents, voluntarily filed with the Bureau. Descrip­ tions of the course of collective bargaining are derived from news media and confirmed and/or supplemented by the parties to the agreement. Wage chronologies deal only with selected, features of collective bargaining or wage determination. They are intended pri­ marily as a tool for research, analysis, and wage administration. References to job security, grievance procedure, methodology of piece-rate adjustment, and similar matters are omitted. This chronology summarizes changes in wage rates and related wage practices negotiated by the International Harvester Co. with the United Electrical, Radio and Machine Workers of America-Farm Equipment Workers, from April 1946 until June 1955, and the International Union, United Automobile, Aerospace and Agricultural Implement Workers of America, since February 1946. This bulletin replaces BLS Report 202— published as a basic chronology and three supplements— and also adds new material on negotiated contract changes effective through September 1970. The earlier texts are in­ cluded as they were originally published; no attempt has been made to revise these state­ ments to reflect the current situation. The analysis for the period 1961-70 was prepared in the Division of Trends in Em­ ployee Compensation by Richard A. Dodd and John J. While the Commission agreed that the company s failure to disclose the safety risk constituted an unfair trade practice, it ruled that, contrary to the AW's finding, the practice could not, as a matter of law , be considered deceptive since there was no representation , practice or omission likely to mislead consumers found in this case. Although the Commission ruled that the manufacturer has violated the FTCA, it upheld the ALJ's decision not to order further remedial action because the company no longer manufactures gasoline-powered tractors and because the company s 1980 voluntary notification program had already provided as much relief as could be expected from a Commission order. The first Cub Cadet tractors were built in 1961 – they were available in seven-, ten- and twelve horsepower versions. These were joined by numerous add-ons and accessories, such as dozer blades, snow blowers and trailers. Cub Cadet tractors quickly made a name for themselves in the USA, becoming popular products among consumers. At the end of the 1970s, however, International Harvester stopped producing these tractors. MTD took over Cub Cadet in 1981, and Cub Cadet has been part of the renowned international MTD Group ever since. MTD adopted the brand concept and refined it even further.
