It is ‘sung play in two acts’ that includes dramatic action and romantic story between two young people placed at the beginning of the seventies of the last century. NAŠA BILA ŠTORIJA ‘Naša bila štorija’ was created from a screenplay by award-winning authors Goran Karan and Nenad Ninčevića, and will be revived in the form of concerts and musical by director Nina Kleflin. Record label ‘Scardona’ is in charge of production and it has released CD with 17 songs from the musical ‘Naša bila štorija’, which were sung by the biggest stars of the local music scene. NAŠA BILA ŠTORIJA ‘Naša bila štorija’ takes us back to Split in '70s where we see two young and innocent teenagers fall for each other and for the first time in their lives get to know how true love feels but also how painful broken heart can be. Duje (Goran Karan) is young hope of football club Hajduk who is facing game of his life - one on a football field as well as one in his personal life. Duje is in love with beautiful Ane (Severina), daughter of director Vinko (Stefan Kokoškov) who doesn’t want to have anything with Duje because of the old argument between their families. Ana and Duje will have to manage ups and downs, but despite of everything, they won’t give up on their love. The songs from the musical follow the action of the story, but they can function independently and they were perfectly accepted by radio audience. NAŠA BILA ŠTORIJA The great potential of the musical immediately caught the attention of the media and the audience, not only in Croatia but also in the entire region. The first single ‘Sta je svit’, a duet by Severina and Goran Karan, immediately won a lot of hearts and in the first week placed directly on the 3rd place on national chart. Brilliant production takes the listener to another, magical dimension where everything is possible. Without any doubt, we can say that Nenad Šiškov, who made the arrangement of all 17 songs from the musical, exceeded everything that we hear on the radio these days and created a song worthy of Disney fairy tales. The audience is longing for positive stories which will remind them that love is worth fighting for, and that is exactly what ‘Naša bila štorija' offers. He is best known as a songwriter of popular music and the author of over two thousand songs. He wrote the musical ‘Naša bila štorija’ together with Goran Karan. • He is a member of the original set of Tutti Frutti Band, in which he played rhythm guitar. In 1990’s he was director of Split Festival. • He wrote and composed songs for famous Croatian artists such as Oliver Dragojević, Mišo Kovač, Vinko Coce, Zdravko Škender, Jasmin Stavros, Zorica Kondža, Mladen Grdović, Meri Cetinić, Tony Cetinski, Goran Karan, Giuliano, Jasna Zlokić, Zlatko Pejaković, Mate Bulić, Đani Stipaničev and bands Tutti Frutti, Magazin, Feminnem etc. • His songs have been performed on Split festival, festival ‘Od srca srcu’, Zadarfest, Dora, Hrvatski radijski festival, Etnofest in Neumu, Brodfest, Zlatne žice Slavonije etc. GORAN KARAN – AUTHOR AND EXECUTIVE PRODUCENT • Three ‘Porin’ awards • He won awards on these festivals: Šibenska šansona, Zadarfest, MHJ, Dora, Splitski festival • Main male role in musical 'Rock It' and ‘Grgur’ • He expressed himself as an actor in the musical‘Rock It' in the Vienna theater 'Ronacher' in production which is compiled from the eight most popular musicals, from late 1960. onwards: ‘Jesus Christ Superstar,’ ‘Grease’, ‘Hair’, ‘Tommy’, etc. as well as in musical written by Zdenko Runjić ‘Grgur’ • He is popular in Turkey and Poland, where his songs were no. 1 on charts, translated even into Korean. He has performed in the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and throughout Europe • He is proud of the 2006. humanitarian action "From heart to mouth" during which he visited orphanages SEVERINA • ‘Golden bird’ for bestselling performer of decade • Grand Prix on festival MHJ for song ‘Virujen u te’ • Croatian representative on Eurovision 2006. • Played in ‘Karolina Riječka’ and ‘Gospoda Glembajevi’ in National theatre • Severina is unquestionably biggest star in Croatia, her every single is hit, and each day her audience on social networks gets bigger and bigger.
