ANNOUNCE TEAM SET FOR SATURDAY’S FS1 UFC FIGHT NIGHT: HENDRICKS VS. THOMPSON

UFC Champ Cruz Joins Bisping as Analyst

LOS ANGELES – After the recent shift of UFC 196 scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 6 becoming FS1 UFC FIGHT NIGHT: HENDRICKS VS. THOMPSON, FOX Sports has named television announcers for the event. UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz (@TheDomin8r) and UFC middleweight contender Michael Bisping (@Bisping) work as analysts alongside FOX Sports host Karyn Bryant (@KarynBryant) in the FOX Sports Los Angeles studios for FS1 UFC FIGHT NIGHT: HENDRICKS VS. THOMPSON live on FS1 and FOX Deportes on Saturday, (10:00 PM ET). Jon Anik (@Jon_Anik) and Brian Stann (@BrianStann) call the fights on FS1 live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, while Victor Davila, Mario Delgado and Erik Perez make the call in Spanish on FOX Deportes.

The three-hour main card is headlined by an exciting five-round showdown between No. 2-ranked Johny Hendricks (17-3) and No. 8 Stephen Thompson (11-1). Heavyweight contenders No. 11 Roy Nelson (21-12) and No. 12 Jared Roshold (14-2) battle, while No. 6 Ovince Saint Preux (18-7) and No. 13 Rafael Feijao (12-6, 1NC) face off in a light heavyweight bout. No. 1 ranked (23-4) faces No. 8 Zach Makovsky (19-6). Plus, Misha Cirkunov (10-2) faces Alex Nicholson (6-1) in a light heavyweight bout, while Mike Pyle (26-11-1) battles Sean Spencer (12-4) in a welterweight bout to open the main card.

The two-hour FS1 UFC FIGHT NIGHT PRELIMS on FS1 and FOX Deportes begin at 8:00 PM ET and feature four bouts. Welterweight Joshua Berkman (28-12, 1NC) faces KJ Noons (12- 7, 1NC), while Derrick Lewis (13-4, 1NC) battles Damian Grabowski (20-2) in a heavyweight bout. No. 12 flyweight Ray Borg (9-1) takes on Justin Scoggins (10-2). Noad Lahat (9-1) faces undefeated Diego Rivas (6-0) to kick off the PRELIMS with a bantamweight bout.

Saturday’s coverage begins on FS1 (7:00 PM ET) with the FS1 UFC FIGHT NIGHT PREFIGHT SHOW hosted by Bryant, with Cruz and Bisping providing analysis. Five-time MMA Journalist of the Year Ariel Helwani (@ArielHelwani) interviews fighters on-site. Coverage wraps up after the main event with the FS1 UFC FIGHT NIGHT POSTFIGHT SHOW.
