Her inner journey goes hand in hand with her explorations of the presence of the body in a room, its relation to others, to everything. Her choreographic work is based on meticulous introspection and reflections on human nature. In her more recent works, such as La Traversée (‘the journey’) and La Nuit (‘the night’), the dancers create poetry through repetitive motions in a dim room which is only occasionally lit by a flickering light. A fusion of Sufi-inspired sensuality and meditative expressions create a strong sensation of presence - here and now.
