We are therefore capable of delivering housing early within the plan period, with the first residential completions anticipated within three years, of obtaining an outline planning consent, helping to meet Central Bedfordshire’s strategic housing needs from the outset. -

Lidlington Green Infrastructure Plan 2011 Lidlington Parish Council Parish Green Infrastructure Plan Lidlington Introduction Lidlington’s Green Infrastructure (GI) Plan is part of a programme of 19 parish and town GI plans across the area funded by Central Bedfordshire Council and facilitated by Bedfordshire Rural Communities Charity, the Greensand Trust and the Marston Vale Trust. The partnership of environmental charities was asked by Central Bedfordshire Council to assist in the production of GI plans as between them they have a strong track-record of work with local communities and landowners, to conserve and enhance landscapes, wildlife and history in Bedfordshire. Partners believe that best results are achieved by empowering local communities, giving them a say in issues that affect them. Together they have accrued many years experience of community development, support and facilitating community consultation; as well as planning and delivering green infrastructure projects in Bedfordshire. What the plan shows The community green infrastructure plan shows information about the existing environment, and identifies aspiration and proposals from community members to enhance the local green infrastructure. These aspirations and proposals include priorities to maintain existing assets, enhance or restore existing assets, and create new green infrastructure. The information is shown on a map, which identifies both existing green infrastructure, and aspirations for improving the green infrastructure network. The plan as a whole is based on a robust approach to making and implementing a high quality green infrastructure network for the existing and future residents of Lidlington. It should be acknowledged that not all of the aspirations identified will be delivered, because there are many other influencing factors, such as the views of landowners, existing planning permissions and allocations, potential future land use allocations and the cost of enhancements. -

STAGSDEN PARISH COUNCIL Minutes of Meeting of the Parish Council Held Monday 21 January 2019 in the Village Hall at 7:30pm PRESENT: Joanne Hodson, Jim Watson, Esther Dickson, Mandy Jauncey, Peter Brown, Ashley Kenlock, Cllr Mark Smith, Julie Betts (Clerk) APOLOGIES: None ABSENT: None Action/Power PUBLIC QUESTION TIME Mr Cardwell, Stagsden Neighbourhood Plan Group, Spring Lane The Public Development, 18/02517/OUT Bodies (Admission to Mr Cardwell asked that Parish Council bring to the attention of the Meetings) Act planning officer the difference in the scaled diagram of the development 1960 as and the diagram submitted to BBC. The accurate scaled drawing shows amended by the development is out of the defined chevron area and impedes on s100, LGA 1972 existing properties and open space. Mr Cardwell also asked that Parish Council bring to the attention of the planning officer the Bedford Borough Council 2002 adopted plan Policy H25, Development will not be permitted on land designated as important open space. Cllr Jauncey advised the Decision was, that the Committee resolved to grant subject to a s106 agreement, which means BBC cannot issue the decision until the S106 is signed as the decision is not legally binding without the S106 agreement. However, the clerk agreed to look into this with the Planning Dept. Mrs Holmes Mrs Holmes asked if a representative of Stagsden Parish Council would be attending the Gypsy & Traveller Planning Appeal. The Clerk confirmed she was awaiting a response from Bedford Borough Council on procedures for the appeal. Mrs Morrison Mrs Morrison asked if anything could be done about opening the Royal George, Public House. -

BLETSOE PARISH COUNCIL August 2020 Dear Parishioner Bedford Borough Local Plan Review https://www.bedford.gov.uk/planning-and-building/planning-policy- its-purpose/local-plan/ The Parish Council is currently compiling a response to Bedford Borough Council on their Issues and Options for the Local Plan Review. Alongside an individual response there will also be a joint submission from other North Bedfordshire Parish Councils. This response is being drawn up by an official planner in coordination with Councillors. As well as the Parish Council responding to the Borough it would be extremely advantageous if residents could respond individually as well. CPRE Bedford has already made a response and this might be useful to you in compiling your own. This document contains suggestions for significant growth in the North Bedfordshire area which will have a significant impact on all of our residents. The current proposal includes: • Three ‘garden villages’ at Twinwoods, Thurleigh and Colworth, with 4,500 - 6,000 houses each • There is an additional urban development site at Wymington which we understand the Borough considers may have the scope for a potential new station. -

Elstow, Stewartby and Kempston Hardwick Echo July 17 Cllr Tim Hill My Son’s Graduation Day: It was my son’s Graduation Ceremony at Salford University on 20th July 17. He achieved a 2.1 in Business, Finance and Accounting. To say I am very, very proud of him is a totally inadequate description. Mayor Dave’s Village Tour: Mayor Dave Hodgson's 2017 summer village tour across Bedford Borough is underway. Dave has held a village tour every summer since he was first elected in October 2009, and this year's tour will see him holding walk-up street surgeries in 58 different villages across the Borough. Dave will be in our Ward on Monday evening – 7th August. All of you will have had by then, leaflets advising of where we will be and at what time. List of Reliable Trades People: In my last Echo, I pointed out that there are many single and vulnerable people in my Ward, many of them elderly. I said I would like to put together a list of local tradespeople that local residents have found to be reliable and inexpensive, with their contact details. The details would be put into a FOCUS Special for distribution throughout my Ward for people to keep and use. Several residents replied with nominations and I’d like to record my thanks to those who did, but I didn’t get as many as I hoped. So I thought I would give it one more attempt. If you have used a local firm for any job and you found them reliable and inexpensive, please let me have their details for use in the FOCUS Special. -
