Q1. In addition to the UAE, can you specify which are your priority markets within the GCC region, if any?

A. The UAE is the main priority country for the time being, but in the future, other priority countries will include , , and .

Q2. Could you specify further who your key stakeholders and partners are in the UAE and other key GCC markets?

A. Key stakeholders and partners include: Public sector partners include: Embassies of Sweden, Denmark, Finland, and Norway in Abu Dhabi; UAE General Women’s Union; UAE Ministry of Defense. Private sector partners include: Unilever, Choueiri Group, Proctor and Gamble, Vogue Arabia.

Q3. For the videography and photography support at events, would UAE-based service providers (who are able to travel if needed), fulfil this requirement?

A. Yes, UAE-based service providers would fulfil this requirement.

Q4. Does the UN Women-UAE Liaison Office for the GCC have any set events / conferences / summits during the course of the year?

A. Yes. Here are some upcoming events for the Office:

28 August 2019: Celebration of Emirati Women’s Day, co-hosted by the UN Women-UAE Liaison Office for the GCC and the General Women’s Union 25 November 2019: The WILL Summit, a conference celebrating success stories of Arab Women, co-hosted by UN Women-UAE Liaison Office for the GCC, Vogue Arabia, and the General Women’s Union January 2020: Launch of the second round of training for the UN Women-UAE Military and Peacekeeping Training for Women, co-run by the UN Women-UAE Liaison Office for the GCC, UAE Ministry of Defense, and the General Women’s Union

Q5. Who are the media spokesperson/s for the UN Women UAE Liaison Office for the GCC?

A. The Director of the UN Women-UAE Liaison Office for the GCC, Dr. Mouza Al Shehhi, is the spokesperson for the Office.

Q6. For the “three letters of reference” that bidders are required to submit, could you confirm if you require anything further than the contact details of these clients (i.e. email address / telephone number)?

A. The bidder is required to submit 3 letters of reference attesting to client satisfaction. Contact details (email address and telephone number of references) are also required.

Q7 In addition to the existing Twitter handles (i.e. @unwomenuae and @unwomenarabic), will the agency be expected to manage any additional social media platforms? If so, would you be able to provide the links?

A. The agency will handle the @unwomenuae handle, and NOT the @unwomenarabic handle. Currently, the Office only has a Twitter account, but the intention is to eventually create an Instagram account, which the agency would also handle.

Q8. Will the selected agency be expected to set up any new social media accounts?

A. Yes. The agency will eventually set up a new Instagram account for the Office in the future.

Q9. The service provider qualifications specifies that the agency should have “one year working for another UN agencies / major multilateral or bilateral programmes.” Would examples of global communication programmes that we have managed for international firms, (including blue-chip companies and multinationals) fulfil this criteria?

A. Yes. Global communication programmes that you have managed for international firms can fulfill this criteria.
