Date: December 12-13, 2008 The Event: Mardy’s Tennis & Jake’s Music Fest to benefit the Mardy Fish Foundation provides companies and individuals with cause-related marketing benefits and a strong community association. Mardy’s Tennis & Jake’s Music Fest is a two-day event that consists of a unique combination of tennis, music and golf. It begins on Friday, December 12, with a dinner party in the evening. The Event will continue on Saturday, December 13, with a Golf Pro-Am Tournament in the morning and an afternoon tennis exhibition featuring Mardy Fish and other current or former touring professionals. That evening, the Event will conclude with a country music concert hosted by country star Jake Owen. In 2006, Mardy decided to form his own foundation and join forces with his childhood friend country singer Jake Owen to create an event that would benefit the Vero Beach community through a combination of two of his and Jake’s greatest loves, tennis and music. The result was Mardy’s Tennis & Jake’s Music Fest to benefit the Mardy Fish Foundation. Fish and Owen have been joined at the Event by tennis stars Andy Roddick, James Blake, Bob Bryan, Mike Bryan, John Isner, Ryan Sweeting, Aaron Krickstein, Kathy Rinaldi, Brenda Schultz-McCarthy, and musician Boyd Tinsley of the Dave Matthews Band. Beneficiary: The Mardy Fish Foundation was established to support youth organizations in Indian River County. The Foundation has utilized funds from the 2006 and 2007 Events and will use funds from this year’s Event to continue to provide after school programs in the community.
