FC DALLAS SUPPORTERS

DALLAS BEER GUARDIANS Founded in 2011, the have grown to over 1,000 members that regularly fill the Budweiser Beer Garden at the north end of Toyota Stadium. The motto “Sanguinem Sudorem et Cervisiae” (loosely translated to, “Blood, Sweat and Beers”) is an appropriate representation of the passionate support for FC Dallas in singing for 90 and producing tifo displays to honor the team, the efforts to represent FC Dallas fans in the community, and a reputation of holding one of ’s best tailgates. Join us before the game in the Corolla Red Lot, off World Cup Way close to the west gate, before marching into the stadium in full voice with flags waving, and give the team your all! FC DALLAS SUPPORTERS

EL MATADOR El Matador is one of the oldest active FC Dallas supporters groups and the only one that actively chants in both Spanish and English. Located in the Budweiser Beer Garden, El Matador drums, chants and sings for 90 minutes at every FC Dallas match as well as creates flags, banners and tifos in support of Oscar and the boys. El Matador tailgates in the northeast grass lot before every game and invites all to join. Membership is free and all you need to do is bring your voice and two arms to waive a flag. Fiesta con todos!

LONESTAR LEGION Lone Star Legion is an independent supporters collective for FC Dallas. Our goal is to create an atmosphere in support of our club on game days, either home or away. Membership is free, and to become a member just show up and lend your voice for the boys on the pitch. We have members around the stadium, but we invite you to join us in the Budweiser Beer Garden. By being a collective group, our members have the unique ability to guide the group in its decision making process. In our support, we use many different styles from all over the world. We use chants from England, and Latin America as well as tifos from eastern European countries. We all have different styles of supporting our club, but the one thing that binds us together is our love for FC Dallas. Lone Star Legion acts as an umbrella group that looks to incorporate other groups to create a fusion of massive support for FC Dallas. We want to hear from you, and we want you to be represented. Hang your banners, and share your ideas with us because we want to put them into action.

KNOW YOUR ENEMY HOUSTON DYNAMO

FC Dallas faces a familiar opponent this week in the Houston Dynamo. The third and final matchup between the two teams will be on Saturday at Toyota Stadium. The first two matches both ended 1-1 draws, with Houston scoring the game-tying goal in each. Both teams are coming off of mid-week games, with FCD falling to the San Jose Earthquakes 4-3 and the Dynamo losing 1-0 to the New York Red Bulls.

FAILURE TO SCORE Houston has had trouble finding the back net as of late. It has not scored more than one goal in any of its last eight MLS matches and was shutout in New York on Wednesday. They got Alberth Elis back in the midweek after missing two matches. Elis has nine goals and eight assists on the season and could help create a new spark with the offense.

KEY MATCH-UPS Marquinhos Pedroso vs. Alberth Ellis — Ellis has only scored one goal since May 30, but he is still one of Houston’s most dangerous weapons. He is the team’s leading point-scorer, with nine goals and eight assists on the season. Pedroso is going to have a tough battle going up against him all night.

Michael Barrios vs. Andrew Wenger — Barrios is in top-form right now and scored a goal last time out against the Dynamo. The winger has five goals and three assists across his last six matches, including a helper on Santiago Mosquera’s goal Wednesday in San Jose. His pace and pressure on Wenger could create easy chances for the FCD attack.

PROJECTED XI Houston Dynamo (4-5-1): Willis; Wenger, Fuenmayor, Leonardo, Beasley; Quioto, Ceren, Garcia, Martinez, Elis; Manotas

KEYS TO THREE POINTS FCD must be able to defend after scoring - something they didn’t do twice in San Jose. In both matches against Houston, Dallas has scored the first goal of the match, but has given it back in the next seven minutes. It must not sit back and relax after the goal, but keep playing its same game and avoid a let down.
