Librarians should be eager to help these new students become comfortable using the library and its resources to support their entire academic career, and they should provide a strong foundation to prepare students for the future. To prepare for lifelong learning requires that stu­ dents continue to acquire new skills, pursue career opportunities, enhance their potential for career advancement, and invest time to de­ velop library research skills.
