KENOSHA – Terry James and the Blue Flames will open the 2017 Lincoln Park Live concert series at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Lincoln Park Flower Gardens. Terry James replaces the Ivy Ford Band, which had to cancel its appearance due to health issues.

Singer, guitarist, and songwriter Terry James, is a style man who uses his raspy, deep bass voice to energize the audience. Born in Waukegan, James creates a mixture of soulful blues and R&B that blends the style of Jimi Hendrix, BB King, and more. James has opened up for Buddy Guy, Lonnie Brooks, , Mississippi Heat and the Fabulous Thunderbirds, and has performed in many of the Clubs over the years.

The Lincoln Park Live concert series is presented by the Mary Lou and Arthur F. Mahone Fund, along with the City of Kenosha. Five free concerts will be held on Wednesdays in June, July, August, and September in Kenosha’s historic Warren J. Taylor flower garden in Lincoln Park, located at 22nd Avenue and Martin Luther King Drive.
