The entire vaccine logistics data in Uttar Pradesh is now digitised and real-time data is available for informed decision-making. 3 A Vaccine Supply Network The nine state vaccine stores provide vaccines in the state through another nine divisional vaccine stores and 75 district vaccine stores. These DVSs supply vaccines to the 1,169 cold chain points located at the sub-district level. The CCPs supply vaccines to the session sites for immunization. Dry Stocks The supply of dry stock in Uttar Pradesh follows the same route as the vaccines. The state dry stock store at Lucknow receives auto-disabled syringes of 0.1ml, and 0.5ml and disposable reconstitution syringes of 5ml from the manufacturers and supplies to all the SVSs. Cold Chain Points ● Uttar Pradesh has an average number of 14 CCPs per district. However, there is a wide variation, ranging from 5 CCPs in Shamli to 36 CCPs in Gorakhpur. ● Over 80 per cent of CCPs cater to a population of more than 1 lakh. B Cold Chain Equipment The immunization cold chain network of Uttar Pradesh runs on 5,564 working cold chain equipment installed across 1,162 vaccine stores and cold chain points. These include 4 walk-in freezers, 23 walk- in coolers, 2,088 ice-lined refrigerators, 9 solar equipment and 3,443 deep freezers. Only 14 per cent of the functional DFs and 13 per cent of the functional ILRs are attached with a stabiliser.
