The Broken Mary Project will place 1200 roses inside the hospital to represent the 1200 children Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital has treated. From June 25-28, Star 105.7 will ask listeners to purchase roses for $10 each by visiting www.westmichiganstar.com, with the goal of raising $12,000 to be donated to Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital. On June 29, the 1200 roses, donated by Eastern Floral of Grand Rapids, will be placed inside the hospital to represent each child that has been treated. After the roses have dried they will be made into an art piece that will be entered into this year’s Art Prize Auction this fall. All proceeds will benefit Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital.
