'MORTICIAN OF THE YEAR' HONORED

Members of the community gathered for the 2nd Regional District, Florida Morticians Association Awards Banquet. The event was held at the Hilton Hotel on North Lois Avenue on July 26th. Rev. Lawrence J. Epps, Jr., of Epps Mortuary of Lake Wales, served as the Master of Ceremony. Bishop J. H. Howell was the guest speaker. Those in attendance were delighted to learn that Ms. La Cheryl Aikens, of Aikens Funeral Home was chosen for the honor "Mortician Of The Year."
