Functional Title: Senior Accountant Corporate Title: TBD Department: Finance and Accounting Legal Entity: EFG Capital Services, LLC Location: Miami, FL Specification of Core Function The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing general accounting duties as assigned to them by the accounting team. Some of the initial responsibilities will include: maintenance of financial datasheets, input and review of journal entries, reconciliations, assistance with internal and external audits, and other accounting duties. Tasks and Responsibilities - Preparation and/or oversight of company accounting functions related to: - Client and Fund fee income and receivables - Referral and sub-advisory fees income and receivables - Staff and operating expenses, and payables - Bank/cash management, investment and forward accounts - Intercompany and vendor relationships - Financial audits - US tax accounting and tax returns - Fixed assets and fixed asset depreciation - Maintain Checklists during closing and department audits - Responsible for monthly financial results reporting to Parent through Hyperion application - Follows up with other entities in clearing Intercompany mismatches - Follows up with staff on deadlines and pending issues - Assists in the assurance of the integrity of the financial statements - Prepare monthly financial statements for Management Committee and Board of Directors Meetings - Monitoring of Balance Sheet accounts. Reviews/Performs reconciliations and account analysis - Monitoring of Intercompany accounts and balances - Monitoring of P/L accounts to ensure accurate allocations - Assists in Regulatory Reporting - Assist in the preparation of Audit requirements and Special projects - Prepare, and/or review journal entries of Staff - Performs other tasks as required Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field - 3+ years of experience in Accounting or financial services preferred - CPA preferred - Knowledge of Microsoft Office required, excellent use of Excel preferred - Ability to establish priorities, work to strict deadlines, and to deal with shifting and conflicting deadlines and priorities - Strong analysis, problem solving and excellent communications skills - Ability to work independently and in a team environment Reporting Line and Committees: Reporting Line to: Controller, VP Member of the following Committee/s: N/A Should you wish to apply for this position, kindly send your resume by email to [email protected] .
