We’ve delivered on our promise to grow the business, achieving over 50% passenger growth since our change in ownership in 2013. We have also secured a global flagship Middle Eastern carrier in Qatar Airways. This has transformed Cardiff Airport into a vital gateway for both Wales and the UK, which significantly enhances our relationship with the world. We continue to be ambitious and have the aim of achieving 2 million passengers by 2021 and 3 million passengers by 2036. We will continue to substantially improve the Airport for all of our customers, to ensure that anyone who travels in and out of Wales has a truly enjoyable and memorable experience. -

There are three well-maintained churches. The style of worship is varied but traditional, with a strong music base particularly at St Augustine’s. Main needs include developing the lay ministry and re-introducing the children’s ministry, whilst maintaining support for the faithful but largely older congregation. Links with the community and other churches also need to be strengthened. The Parish is likely to join with the adjacent parish of All Saints in the future to form a Ministry Area. -

Community Profile – Western Vale Introduction For the purposes of the Well-being Assessment and to gain a better understanding of our communities in the Vale of Glamorgan we have divided the area in to three communities, Barry, Western Vale and Eastern Vale. These community profiles have been developed to complement the Vale of Glamorgan profile and we will continue to enhance these profiles as part of our ongoing engagement through the Public Services Board. The profile brings together a range of information about the area including population data, details of projects and assets within the community, it is not intended to be a directory of services but provides some key information about the area The purpose of this community profile is to provide information with regards to key statistics and projects in the area and to highlight the many assets within the Vale of Glamorgan, ranging from natural assets, community groups and services. It is intended that further work will be undertaken to enhance the community profiles for the Vale of Glamorgan and each of the three community areas, Barry, the Eastern Vale and the Western Vale. This will include key findings from across the assessment for the community and where possible identification of gaps and areas for improvement. STATUTORY INSTRUMENTS 2017 No. 621 CIVIL AVIATION The Air Navigation (Restriction of Flying) (Cardiff) Regulations 2017 Made - - - - 26th April 2017 Coming into force - - 1st June 2017 The Secretary of State has decided that it is necessary in the public interest to restrict flying in the vicinity of Cardiff, by reason of the intended holding of the Union of European Football Associations Champions League Final and associated events. The Secretary of State makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by article 239 of the Air Navigation Order 2016(a). Citation and commencement 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Air Navigation (Restriction of Flying) (Cardiff) Regulations 2017 and come into force on 1st June 2017. Interpretation 2. In regulation 3 the times referred to are Co-ordinated Universal Time(b). Restricted airspace 3. —(1) Subject to paragraph (4), between — (a) 1000 hours and 2100 hours on 1st June 2017, (b) 1000 hours and 2200 hours on 2nd June 2017, (c) 1000 hours and 1759 hours on 3rd June 2017, and (d) 1000 hours and 1700 hours on 4th June 2017, no aircraft is to fly below 4,000 feet above mean sea level within the area described in paragraph (2).
